Should the child be given back to birth parents?

Hello,

Last night I watched a drama and this question popped up..
Please bear with me.

We have a couple A and B (not married), they live abroad, B tells A that she’s pregnant. So they come back to their home country and decide to have the child. Since they’re not financially strong, they don’t marry and since they’re not married the child will be illegal and will not registered by law (according to their country).

They didn’t want to abort it so B gives birth to the child and goes back abroad with A to study, leaving the newborn child (C from now on) in his uncle’s (U) (A’s brother) care.

U never wanted this responsibility as he’s very busy with his job and he lives alone. So he hires a babysitter(not full time).

So long story short, U and the babysitter takes care of the C and falls in love with each other. C also starts recognizes them as mom and dad, even though U and the babysitter clearly mentioned they’re not his parents.

The real parents do video chat with the C on his birthday only, sometimes forgets they even have a son.

Years pass and the C is now 7 years old. The A & B comes back from abroad and want to take back C, but C doesn’t know what to do…

U and babysitter (now wife of U) has strong attachment to C and they don’t want to separate from C, but knowing he’s not their real son, they can’t do anything..

C knows A & B are his real parents, but he has always seen U and babysitter as his real parents until now.

What should happen in this situation?
Sorry for the long one… But I just had to ask this…

Regards!
