I really haven’t, but then I spend so little time with people I don’t know anymore. The obvious “crinkled eye” aspect of smiling I get, but otherwise no. I just don’t see enough people.
I have to compensate by taking cues from overall body language and tone of voice – But that can be a challenge when it’s someone tied up and gagged in your basement.
No, I try not to stare at people. Nor do I like being stared at. If someone nods a head at me or gives a wave in greeting, I’ll respond. That’s about it.
I don’t know that I’ve gotten better, but it has allowed me to notice the extent to which eyes convey emotion and the rest of the face isn’t necessary to perceive certain things.
I always made eye contact and read a person’s eyes.
But I haven’t even gotten a cold. Study has it that Teachers also are not getting sick like they typically do in Sept/Oct when the kids come back to school.
