There is this theory possibly not scientific

Einstein was known for not wearing socks.

IF you look at some of the younger pics of Einstein, his hair was quite manageable although wavy. According to this site his hair was quite manageable until his son was born & he stopped taking care of himself. It didn’t really explain WHY his son’s birth affected him so. After he stopped being concerned with his hair, he decided he liked the crazy professor look & stopped having his hair cut by barbers. His wife took over the duty of trimming is locks so he could maintain his wild look.

As someone who has noticed a marked difference in the health of my hair as I’ve aged, I’ve noticed that with age comes dry, brittle, flyaway locks that needs a lot of work to tame & maintain. Maybe he went through something similar and just didn’t care!!!

He died when I was 5 so I cannot give a definitive answer as to whether he just didn’t comb his hair, IF it was a genetic curse, or IF he found the wild & crazy look to suit his style. He refused to wear socks & I’ve always heard that he often left home forgetting to put on his pants. Maybe his mind was so freakin busy that he had NO time to waste on the unimportant stuff!!!

I don’t know but am, with great anticipation, awaiting for you to reveal the truth.

I had curly hair until I went bald in my thirties.

I had beautiful curly locks and did not own a comb. I shampooed my hair in the morning, dried it with a towel, and combed it back with my fingers.

Good times.

I imagine he did comb his hair. He just combed it to look like that. Overall, pretty mild in the larger world of hair weirdness.

I’ll bet less people bothered him that way
