“Great Question” (2points)

The Jelly Below Me is a sort of game. It starts with a statement made about whoever might be next. Then whoever does answer next explains whether that statement actually fits them. It is then their turn to make a statement about TJBM The Jelly Below Me.

Here is an example:
TJBM is blonde, and has more fun.

I am blonde, but my best friend has red hair, and she has more fun.
TJBM will tell their favorite kind of soup.

***************

TJBM is intended to be fun, so stay away from toxic subjects like politics.

Note: TJBM extends indefinitely, so it will be active long after the initial question is buried. If anyone wants to participate now, or later, either jump in right away, or click on the follow this question. appearing in red print, so it will stay active in your feed.

I will start.
To answer the sample question above, my favorite soup is potato.

TJBM will tell us if they have a tattoo, where it is located.

Forever_Free's avatar

No tattoo

TJBM believes in werewolves

Mimishu1995's avatar

No. Why?

@Patty_Melt in my country there is a heavy bias toward tattoos. It is associated with criminals. If you are seen with a tattoo, you are at least involved in the bad side.

TJBM knows a strange bias where they live.

snowberry's avatar

There might be one, but I don’t know.

TJBM is a connoisseur of honey.

chyna's avatar

No, I don’t dislike honey, but I never eat it.
TJBM drinks red wine on occasion.

longgone's avatar

Tried it once, don’t care for it. I like to drink mocktails and may enjoy an Ipanema today (lime, ginger ale, crushed ice and brown sugar).

TJBM has a daily ritual of savouring something.

filmfann's avatar

I only savor my morning cereal and the day’s Wordle.

TJBM will be at the Jelly gathering in Berkeley tomorrow night.

rebbel's avatar

I will be, if before that event a purchasable time machine gets invented.
Otherwise, nope.

TJBM are questioning their existence, on an annual basis.

janbb's avatar

Nope.

TJBM is still sleeping.

Dutchess_III's avatar

No. I’m awake.

TJBM’s dog decides when they get up.

kneesox's avatar

Shouldn’t we close this active thread then—TJBM #87?

janbb's avatar

No.

TJBM thinks it’s better to start a new thread if you want to get a game going again.

Forever_Free's avatar

Agreed

TJBM has played TJBM 10 years ago

kneesox's avatar

I meant, post something in #87 to steer people here because some are still posting over there. Close the active thread #87. This one is #88 apparently.

10 years ago, I don’t think I did.

TJBM is wearing green today.

canidmajor's avatar

Nope, not with my staunch Scots background!

TJBM hates adjusting their pet(s) to the time change.

chyna's avatar

When I had a pet, I did hate it. She would argue over dinner time and told me that the whole thing sucked.
TJBM hates to drive.

Nomore_Tantrums's avatar

I just hate driving in rush hour traffic. TJBM favors abolishing DST.

canidmajor's avatar

As an aside from the Q, @Nomore_Tantrum, how does the time change affect rush hour traffic? Do the regular work hours change in Texas? They don’t in any of the 6 states I have lived in.

Nomore_Tantrums's avatar

No not really. In Austin it’s always a pain regardless of what time were on. I just don’t see the reasoning for the continued going back and forth twice a year.

JLoon's avatar

Yes.

Death to daylight savings time – and I also agree it’s probably painful living in Texas.

The Jelly Below Me would rather be on top.

smudges's avatar

No! Have you ever looked down into a mirror?! <<shudder>>

TJBM actually hates jelly on their peanut butter sammiches.

rebbel's avatar

I hate Jellies, period. ~
Can’t say I hate it, but definitely not a fan.

TJBM has subscriptions to services they (almost) never use.

Dutchess_III's avatar

No. If I don’t use it I get rid of it. I’m a penny pincher.

TJBM was disappointed when nothing exciting happened on Y2K.

Jeruba's avatar

Not I. I was in a high-tech field and was really worried that everything was going to melt down. It was a relief to watch the televised wave of celebrations across the time zones starting in Europe and see that everybody was surviving it.

I also remember enjoying the one-liner that said “It’s a little-known fact that the Dark Ages were caused by the Y1K bug.”

TJBM has gone fishing in a rowboat on a quiet lake.

Tropical_Willie's avatar

Many times, going back almost seventy years, hope I do that this year.

The Jelly Below Me has over $1500 of fishing gear.

Dutchess_III's avatar

No. I don’t care for fishing in Kansas.

TJBM has a life that needs to be put back together.

Brian1946's avatar

Not really- just my right knee.

TJBM has something that has Ukrainian colors.
I just noticed that one of my spray bottles is blue and yellow! ;-D

SQUEEKY2's avatar

Not really but I am sympathetic to their fight.
TGBM drives a pick up truck.

Dutchess_III's avatar

Not if I can help it.

TJBM gets to see a passle of grandkids tmorrow.

Brian1946's avatar

I will, if the nano-cam I’ve implanted in your brain works. ;)

TJBM is not TJAM.

Nomore_Tantrums's avatar

No I am not. TJBM is happy the weather is warming up.

SnipSnip's avatar

Nope and I’m not happy to be on DST year round either.

TJBM has had a run-in with law enforcement recently.

Brian1946's avatar

I got a fixit ticket in Feb, 2011. My middle brake light wasn’t working.

TJBM has been in, or knows someone who was in jail.

snowberry's avatar

Yes.

TJBM has no allergies.

rebbel's avatar

That is correct, officially.
I’ve never been tested, but I feel weird whenever I eat an apricot.

TJBM has a broad and deep collection of sunglasses.

Mimishu1995's avatar

Yes. I know that sunglasses are glasses with dark lens :D

TJBM will share an intense memory.

@Brian1946 Just remember that my doll has a blue and yellow coat. It is supposed to be a Revolutionary War uniform, but now that you said it, it has carried on a new meaning :D

Dutchess_III's avatar

Intense memory….being followed by strange men. Scared the shit out of me.

TJBM has discovered blue popcorn that tastes like cotton candy!

Nomore_Tantrums's avatar

Never touch the stuff! TJBM has a moron for a boss. As do I. (Can’t wrap his noggin around the concept that I cannot work till 7 AM on Mondays, I have grand children to take to school). Idiot.

SnipSnip's avatar

I do not.

TJBM is dreading something horribly.

Strauss's avatar

No, I’m pretty optimistic about my future.

THBM is qn optimist.

Dutchess_III's avatar

I am. 4 kids and my optimism got me through a lot. And humor.

TJBM has a Good Boi.

canidmajor's avatar

Oh, you damn betcha! I brushed him out on the deck today, got enough for two more Good Bois and nesting materials for eleven condors.

TJBM can’t wait to get their hands in the dirt and start planting.

Dutchess_III's avatar

Nesting for 11 condors! ROFLOL!

I sure have plans to start dirting.

TJBM will tell us the kind of Good Boi they have.

Nomore_Tantrums's avatar

Do female cats count? Our Good Boi passed from natural causes 12 years ago : ( TJBM is working today.

Dutchess_III's avatar

No, cats don’t count because, ironically, they’re bitches!

Not working at all.

TJBM is hoping the doctor comes up with something new that will help

Patty_Melt's avatar

That’s a big ten four! I need something new for sure.

TJBM likes animals more than people.

Nomore_Tantrums's avatar

Not really. Never been anti social and both pets and people have their place in a person’s life. TJBM is on edge about how China will roll in regard to Putins war.

Patty_Melt's avatar

It depends on how long it lasts.
It could be beneficial to us.

TJBM has a song they consider their life theme song.

Nomore_Tantrums's avatar

“Getting by on Getting by” Jerry Jeff Walker. TJBM will tell us thier favorite song.

Dutchess_III's avatar

Gosh. So many. I’ll go with Landslide by Fleetwood Mac.

.TJBM will tell us their favorite author.

Tropical_Willie's avatar

Samuel Clemens – Mark Twain

TJBM can drive a stick shift.

JLeslie's avatar

Yes I can!

TJBM eats chocolate every day.

Brian1946's avatar

I ate some Andes mint chocolates my wife gave me yesterday.
I think the last time I ate choc was about 2 months ago.

TJBM can name an extant descendant of the trilobite.
Hint: they have twelve legs and can be found in the ocean waters on the Atlantic coast.

Dutchess_III's avatar

Crabs?

TJBM had a good day!

Brian1946's avatar

You’re nominally close: horseshoe crabs, which actually aren’t crabs.

My “day” is okay so far.

TJBM knows someone who’s at least 80. My wife has been an octogenarian for 6 days.

Dutchess_III's avatar

Happy Birthday to the Quarantine Quilter!

Not anymore. Rick’s dad died in 2019 at the age of 96.

TJBM is ready to get this show on the road!

SnipSnip's avatar

What show?

TJBM has recently watched a film that will not leave their mind.

Mimishu1995's avatar

The Captain. It’s a pretty depressing movie. It’s about a deserter who comes across a captain uniform and wears it to assume an identity of a captain to avoid his captors. Along the way he meets other lost soldiers who have nowhere to go and are willing to cling on anyone with authority for guidance. To avoid being detected, the fake captain has to act as if he knows what he is doing and improvise along the way. It gets to the point that he is a captain sent by Hitler himself to clean up a prison full of deserters. As the guy plays up everyone and avoid being detected, he commits horrendous murder on people who should have been him. It is also implied that some of the guards know the guy is a fake, but they gladly play along because he helps them clean up the prison and save their resources, something they all want to do but are too afraid to.

It’s a compelling movie about how power corrupts and how desperate people would cling on any kind of help, no matter where that comes from. But I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone unless you have a mind of steel. The killing can get really brutal. And the mere fact that you are watching a movie about some Nazis could put a lot of people off.

TJBM has a better movie :P

snowberry's avatar

I’m a fan of Road Runner cartoons. Here’s a whole show.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3aDvTJCr42k

Nomore_Tantrums's avatar

TJsAM lost site of TJBM game !

Nomore_Tantrums's avatar

TJBM will get us back on track, yo!

Dutchess_III's avatar

Ok.

TJBM is ready to start planting stuff.

Nomore_Tantrums's avatar

My wife is, I just never had much of a green thumb. I always enjoy her flowers though. Purtty. TJBM is feeling lazy today.

JLeslie's avatar

No! This morning I was up at 7:00am and did some deep cleaning in my kitchen for about an hour and then a load of laundry. At 11:00 several of us did folk dancing in one of the town squares. Israeli, Greek, Romanian, Macedonian, and then we had lunch out. I’m back home now relaxing.

TJBM likes to dance.

SnipSnip's avatar

You bet I do!

TJBM has had to clean up a parking space due to oil leaking from his or her car. I haven’t but I have enforced such a rule with others.

Dutchess_III's avatar

No I haven’t.

TJBM loves Judge Judy.

JLeslie's avatar

I used to, but she’s too mean lately. My husband watches Judge Judy every day. Or, whatever her new show is called.

TJBM likes the new West Side Story movie.

SQUEEKY2's avatar

Uh no!
TJBM Loves to enforce any and all rules, and laws.

Nomore_Tantrums's avatar

Nope, never was real keen on authority or authority figures. Like to do my own thing, within reason of course. TJBM is about to hunker down for the night.

snowberry's avatar

Nope.. I just woke up. And sorry about forgetting the jelly below me.

TJBM loves something else more than spring.

Dutchess_III's avatar

Spring would be about #20 on my list.

TJBM is sad they couldn’t make it to CA on Friday.

Mimishu1995's avatar

I’m sad I’m not in America.
TJBM knows a science fact.

Dutchess_III's avatar

I know hundreds of science facts!

TJBM likes science.

SnipSnip's avatar

It’s not my strong suite.

TJBM just had some big news.

Nomore_Tantrums's avatar

Thought my sim on my phone was messed up but it’s fine now. Also got off today. TJBM is having an enjoyable Sunday.

SnipSnip's avatar

I am. I’m on my way out to visit mum and then have an early supper with friends.

TJBM went to Church this morning.

Dutchess_III's avatar

I don’t do church unless they have a pancake feed!

TJBM likes the idea of hidden rooms in a house.

Nomore_Tantrums's avatar

Nope, hidden rooms in a house are usually indicative of bug bears and things that go bump in the night. TJBM enjoys their yard.

SQUEEKY2's avatar

Yes very much.
TJBM thinks there is too many useless gadgets on vehicles today.

Dutchess_III's avatar

Agree. And all of the controls are touch screen, while the screen screams at you not to take your eyes off the road!

TJBM loves history.

Nomore_Tantrums's avatar

I sure do, never could get enough of it. Never will. TJBM is having a great day.

Dutchess_III's avatar

It’s OK. Didn’t start out so good tho.

TJBM has a nutty dog.

Brian1946's avatar

No, but my cousin had this magnificent black Shepherd-Lab mix named Jude, who was.
I was sitting on the end of a bed.
Jude was sitting on the floor, with his chest touching my left thigh.
I unexpectedly sneezed on my right leg.
Suddenly, I felt Jude pressing frantically against my thigh in intense effort to get to the sneezins on my right thigh.

TJBM has a question for me, and it is…

SnipSnip's avatar

@Brian1946
Did you forget something?

TJBM regularly calls the oldest members of his family.

Dutchess_III's avatar

No. They’re all dead. But I used to.

TJBM Has question for @Brian1946.

Incoherency_'s avatar

@Dutchess_III Who is now the oldest member of your family? Would it be a matter of you calling yourself? ;p

I do. @Brian1946, is 1946 the year of your birth, or your age?

TJBM can tell me how many triangles there are in my avatard.

Tropical_Willie's avatar

Over 18

TJBM put out the trash tonight, I did.

Dutchess_III's avatar

@Incoherency_ is in the house!!

False. I brought the trashcan back up to the house today. All by myself.

TJBM hates movies that have old male characters that snag 20 something girls, young enough to be their daughters, or grand daughters, for sex partners. You know they had a hand writing their fantasy script.

Nomore_Tantrums's avatar

I do. I hate movies like that, period. More into old historical epics, or John Wayne westerns. TJBM says Wayne was a better cowboy star than Clint Eastwood.

filmfann's avatar

That is sacrilege!
My favorite westerns are (not in order)
1) The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly
2) Unforgiven
3) The Searchers
4) Stagecoach.

TJBM wants more questions on Fluther involving the interpretation of dreams.

Dutchess_III's avatar

No. I don’t.

TJBM Is ready to break ground!

SQUEEKY2's avatar

Well at least wind.
TJBM is glad restrictions are winding down.

Dutchess_III's avatar

They’ve been gone since last year.

TJBM has a cold but is taking no restrictions.

Jeruba's avatar

Nope, I haven’t had a cold since well before covid. Not only did the normal precautions stave off cold exposure but we took extra super precautions at my house because of my husband’s fragile condition. You know what? I don’t miss them. (But I wonder if it means that when I do get one, it’ll be a doozy because my resistance will have gone down.)

TJBM is reading a fascinating book.

SnipSnip's avatar

Not at the moment. I love to read and have a whole shelf of unread purchases. Soon….

TJBM has never had a colonoscopy without sedation.

Dutchess_III's avatar

True. I had one. The sedation they gave me wasn’t to sedate me. It was just to make me instantly forget. It started wearing off half way through the procedure. I was watching the procedure on the monitor. It was interesting. I must have given some sign that I was awake cuz I suddenly went out again.

TJBM is freezing.

SnipSnip's avatar

Oh no; it’s 85 degrees here.

TJBM is running their AC too.

Dutchess_III's avatar

Oh hell no. It’s cold and rainy.

TJBM accidentally sent a repeat message about 87 times! Sorry about that @chyna!

SnipSnip's avatar

Not that I’m aware.

TJBM handles their own nail grooming rather than going to a spa.

chyna's avatar

That’s ok @Dutchess. I’m having issues with that also.
I get pedicures but I do my own fingernails which consists of me cutting them about once a week. I don’t like long nails or polish on me.
TJBM has no S/O.

Dutchess_III's avatar

I have 2. My husband and my dog.

TJBM actually talked to a human at the SSA today!

kruger_d's avatar

Nope. Only at LBF, the school I teach at.
TJBM shares a birthday with someone special.

Dutchess_III's avatar

I don’t think so.

TJBM ate oysters on crackers today.

Nomore_Tantrums's avatar

No. TJBM dodged some dicey spring like weather and storms today.

Patty_Melt's avatar

Partly cloudy.

TJBM knows why convoys have been converging on DC.

Dutchess_III's avatar

Because they’re brainless conservative idiots who are still trying to overthrow the government.

Patty_Melt's avatar

pssst

Mimishu1995's avatar

TJBM will tell us about a time when they did something they were proud of.

Dutchess_III's avatar

sry!

I graduated college against a lot of odds.

TJBM is computer proficient.

JLeslie's avatar

Yes, I’m pretty good on computers, especially Microsoft office. I don’t know any programming though.

TJBM likes sesame bagels.

Tropical_Willie's avatar

I like “Everything” bagels

TJBM eats their bagel as a sandwich with fried ham & salami, fried egg and cheese.

Dutchess_III's avatar

O gross! No! But before they quit offering them I’d sometimes get an Egg McMuffin on a bagel.

TJBM doesn’t eat much meat.

Nomore_Tantrums's avatar

In fact, I do. A meal with no meat is not a meal. TJBM is welcoming the warmer weather.

Dutchess_III's avatar

Not today. It’s cold and wet.

TJBM can make a full meal with no meat.

SnipSnip's avatar

Sure, most meals in fact.

TJBM has or will work out today.

Dutchess_III's avatar

Not today. I’m sick.

TJBM had to cancel a dentist appointment that they really wanted to keep.

SQUEEKY2's avatar

Yeah, but that was a few weeks back.
TJBM Is too sexy for their shoes.

Dutchess_III's avatar

Shoot no!

TJBM is too sexy for their face mask.

Nomore_Tantrums's avatar

Yeah right, I need a mask BECAUSE of no sex appeal. And to keep the mirror from jumping off of the wall and running off. TJBM is going out to eat this evening,

Dutchess_III's avatar

No. I already ate. Rick brought me home a .99 crispy chicken sandwich from Wendy’s.

TJBM is breaking down and hiring contractors instead of DIY.

JLeslie's avatar

Thinking about it for some plants that I need to replace in my garden.

TJBM Lost weight during the last two years of the covid pandemic.

Dutchess_III's avatar

20 pounds.

TJBM has kept the weight off, too.

filmfann's avatar

Nope. I am, however, one of those rare people who got home from a cruise weighing less.

Nomore_Tantrums's avatar

TJAM forgot TJBM. TJBM had Italian tonight.

Dutchess_III's avatar

No I did not. I had Wendy’s chicken sandwich.

TJBM has a dog they aren’t sure what to do with.

Patty_Melt's avatar

Put it on a plain bun, dump chili over it, with cheese melted on top.

TJBM is going nuts to meet an impossible deadline.

Brian1946's avatar

No, but I do want to get to Whole Foods before they stow the produce.

TJBM knows what to do if their brakes fail while they’re driving.

Tropical_Willie's avatar

Use the “Emergency Brake” shift out of Drive. Been there done that ! !

TJBM knows how to make great St Louis pork ribs and will tell us their secret !

Mimishu1995's avatar

No, but I love to eat one. I’m not a refined cook, but I’m a refined eater :D

TJBM will feed me something fabulous.

Patty_Melt's avatar

For you

TJBM has special vacation plans for this summer.

Brian1946's avatar

Nope- just more hardy partying in the 19th year of my staycation.

TJBM thinks that “my ass wouldn’t fit anyway”, is Fluther’s best new topic!

Mimishu1995's avatar

True! This could open so many possibilities for many situations!

TJBM saw a small place, and decided they wouldn’t fit in despite the place’s popularity.

Patty_Melt's avatar

Thirty some years ago, I took a job at a small, family owned, Greek restaurant. The owners were great. The customers were terrific. I liked it a lot, but it wasn’t a good fit for me. I had moved away as a child, and moved back after the Navy. I wasn’t part of them anymore.

TJBM has seen a movie lately which made them think of something they have done wrong with their life.
Name it.

Mimishu1995's avatar

I can’t think of a movie like that right now. But my story can get too real sometimes. It mentions issues that I meet in real life, of me and other people.
TJBM thinks movies can make people self-aware.

filmfann's avatar

I certainly believe the movies help develop empathy.

TJBM will outlive us all.

Nomore_Tantrums's avatar

Doubtful. One foot in the grave the other on a banana peel. TJBM is enjoying pretty weather.

Dutchess_III's avatar

Not a chance!

For TJBM, listening to the wind in bed is almost as nice as listening to rain.

Nomore_Tantrums's avatar

Rain yes wind no. Makes me want to crank up the thermostat to 85 degrees and climb under four blankets. TJBM had a hearty breakfast today.

Dutchess_III's avatar

No. No breakfast.

TJBM is going to pick up an exterior door and a ceiling fan they found on BST.

JLeslie's avatar

Nope. That’s very specific. Lol.

I’ll do one very specific too.

TJBM just ate really good Turkish food and regrets not going back to that restaurant sooner.

tedibear's avatar

No, but I’m willing to try almost any kind of food.

TJBM has tried making a new recipe in the last five days.

Dutchess_III's avatar

False.

TJBM is going to try a new BBQ joint.

SnipSnip's avatar

No. I do love BBQ but we like to eat what we cook in our own clean kitchen.

TJBM has never had to be put to sleep via general anesthesia.

Dutchess_III's avatar

False. I’ve been put under about 5 times.

TJBM wishes the warmer weather would roll in.

JLeslie's avatar

It’s warm here, 70’s during the day, but if it was cold I would be wishing that.

TJBM saw the series Counterpart and wishes it had not been cancelled.

Patty_Melt's avatar

Never heard of it.

TJBM has something coming soon which they dread, but also want.

JLeslie's avatar

Yes! I dread making a decision to buy a new house, but I want the right house to come along so badly it’s making me miserable.

TJBM hasn’t eaten inside of a restaurant since the pandemic started.

Forever_Free's avatar

Nope. I have dined in several times.

TJBM awoke to find out that they left a ton of lights on overnight

Nomore_Tantrums's avatar

No but one of my grands had turned on the AC and set it to 68, woke up freezing my butt off. TJBM has a busy day planned.

Patty_Melt's avatar

Yes, but I didn’t get as much crossed off my list as I needed.
TJBM keeps track of their blood pressure.

Dutchess_III's avatar

I do, actually. I have a home BP cuff.

TJBM knows how to barrell race.

Patty_Melt's avatar

I’m not sure. Does it mean getting in one, and rolling downhill, or standing on one, and running on top to make it roll? If it is the later, I played around with it sorta, as a teen. Whenever Parks came around and emptied the trash barrels at the nearby playground, I would tip one over, and practice log rolling with it all over the grounds. :-D
One time, I tried to convince a friend to get inside, but that was a no – go.

TJBM will tell about a childhood memory of trying to convince a friend to do something stupid.

Mimishu1995's avatar

Throughout my childhood I was the one who was convinced to do stupid things. I was never the initiator. I just followed what sounded cool.

I don’t have anything in mind right now, but most of the time it was just doing something to intentionally annoyed the adults, as if they were some kind of video game boss. I’m no longer proud of those moments. I think I was just being annoying.

TJBM grew up with something that is being corrupted by the new generation.

Nomore_Tantrums's avatar

Yeah, good Disney flicks. Davy Crockett, Zorro, Big Red, Old Yeller, The Scarecrow of Romney Marsh. Used to revisit these on Vault Disney, no longer extant. TJBM gets this game confused with the other TJBM game.

Patty_Melt's avatar

No, I don’t. If it is a problem for you, pm me.

TJBM has something important to them they want to rant about. please do

Dutchess_III's avatar

No. No ranting. I’ll never stop!

TJBM uses exclamation marks sparingly.

Nomore_Tantrums's avatar

Don’t know never really pay much attention to my own posts, once I say what I have to say. TJBM is already tired of the Will Smith hoopla.

Patty_Melt's avatar

Absolutely. My life is in crisis. I don’t need their little fake issue.

TJBM believes in something so much, they will talk about it now.

SnipSnip's avatar

Maybe another time.

TJBM will share that great joke they recently heard.

snowberry's avatar

I just replaced the can of air freshener in the church restroom with an air horn. Now we wait.

TJBM doesn’t think my joke is funny.

Forever_Free's avatar

Was there a joke somewhere?

TJBM is sipping a drink with an umbrella in it currently

chyna's avatar

No, but I am drinking a Diet Pepsi without an umbrella.
TJBM is looking forward to their vacation this year.

Brian1946's avatar

It would be nice if I had enough disposable income to go see the Northern Lights.

However, I will be enjoying the 19th year of my staycation. :p

TJBM knows how many Davey Jones’ Revenge awards they have.

JLeslie's avatar

No idea. I never look at the awards except when someone brings it up. Maybe I’ll look later today. I never really understood the awards.

TJBM has a lot to do today.

Nomore_Tantrums's avatar

Not really. A few errands to run, then back home and chill. Wish I could sleep all day. TJBM is dog tired today.

rebbel's avatar

Right on the money.
Don’t know why though.
TJBM became aware of what alopecia is, thanks to Chris Rock.

chyna's avatar

No, one of my dogs had it, so I knew about it years ago.
TJBM is expecting a package from Amazon this week.

Dutchess_III's avatar

Oh always @chyna!

TJBM got something new for their house.

SnipSnip's avatar

No, but I did just open a package containing the tea bags I ordered.

TJBM takes care of routine maintenance on his or her car, him/herself.

Dutchess_III's avatar

Nah. I did when I was younger but now I’d rather pay someone.

TJBM is watching Flipper reruns and floating back in time.

SnipSnip's avatar

No. I have been working on tax returns and taking a break now.

TJBM is happy to have already finished the yearly tax chore.

Dutchess_III's avatar

We meet with our tax guy tomorrow. So far it’s looking like we owe ~$20,000. Waaaah!

TJBM meet a really nice carpenter yesterday. And he knows his stuff.

Nomore_Tantrums's avatar

Don’t need one right now, but my oldest grandson can handle my needs, if any. He’d probably be hurt if I didn’t call on him for any handy man issues. TJBM was shocked by something they just found out about today.

snowberry's avatar

Not shocked. Just made aware I can’t believe what media (any media) says. Again.

TJBM has upan unusual hobby or line of work.

Dutchess_III's avatar

No, I don’t. But one of these days I’m going to become an interior decorator for my own house.

TJBM is impatiently waiting for thunderstorms to move in!

Nomore_Tantrums's avatar

Yup. Just hope it is only rain, which we badly need. No hail or tornadoes hopefully. TJBM lives in an abnormally dry area as well.

JLeslie's avatar

No! I’m in Florida. Plenty of humidity and rain. We sometimes go through dry spells, but usually we get plenty of rain. Thankfully, it usually doesn’t last long.

TJBM is planning a trip to Disney.

Dutchess_III's avatar

Can’t afford that.

TJBM lives on limited income.

Brian1946's avatar

Yer darn tootin’ I do!

TJBM has crossed either the Equator, International Date Line, or Arctic Circle.

tedibear's avatar

None of the above.

TJBM has at least one pet living in their home.

SQUEEKY2's avatar

Very much so a super crazy cat.
TJBM has a love for off road motor cycles.

Nomore_Tantrums's avatar

Hell to the no, got to have 4 wheels under me. TJBM is glad not to live in Tornado Alley.

Mimishu1995's avatar

I’m glad I don’t even know what a tornado is.
TJBM will share their first world problem :D

Nomore_Tantrums's avatar

OK, it’s all these crazy grass fires in CenTex because we have been so dry. Local Fire Depts are taxed to the max, but there is supposed to be some major rain moving through later on tonight. Hope so. TJBM will share a problem of some sort.

snowberry's avatar

How do I find shoes that fit me and my needs?

TJBM likes an unusual sandwich.

Brian1946's avatar

I love what I call a “salad sandwich”- lettuce, tomatoes, onions, avocado, mayo, and nothing else but bread.

TJBM will post the farthest north or south that they’ve ever been.

Mimishu1995's avatar

Thailand is the furthest anywhere that I’ve ever been. Sorry it’s not that remarkable.
TJBM will post a stupid question that is actually intelligent.

Brian1946's avatar

@Mimishu1995

You might be the only one here who has ever been to Thailand, and it would be a remarkable trip for me. :)

Here’s my attempt:

Can one ∞ be greater than another?

TJBM has used an ASCII table or a character map before.

JLeslie's avatar

No, but we used to use a formula that included a binary system to figure out the check digit on credit cards when we couldn’t read it well or it was left off. This was way back when we used to get an imprint of a credit card.

TJBM has been having trouble sleeping.

Forever_Free's avatar

Nope. I sleep so soundly for 8–9 hours every night since Covid started now that I have no commute into Boston.
TJBM has a health care appointment today

chyna's avatar

I do and am at the appointment now.
TJBM is excited about something coming up this weekend.

Nomore_Tantrums's avatar

Nah, nothing much going. But I love to work at nothing all day. TJBM is expecting a wet, rainy weekend.

rebbel's avatar

The weekend, apparently, is going to be okay, weather wise.
It’s tomorrow’s weather that sounds troubling, and wet (ish); we’ll probably get a light snow cover.
On the last day of a March that has been the driest and sunniest since they started noting data down.

Dutchess_III's avatar

You DO live in tornado alley @NoMoreTantrum!

Nomore_Tantrums's avatar

Ass end of it, but you are correct! @Dutchess_III

Tropical_Willie's avatar

The Three Jellies Above forgot . . . wait for it ..

TJBM is on a diet, I’m with my wife.

Nomore_Tantrums's avatar

Nope, never had a weight issue thankfully. TJBM tried roller skates once and almost ended up in E.R.

Tropical_Willie's avatar

I used to skate dance in Jr Hi.

TJBM found a book they misplaced over 12 years ago.

Dutchess_III's avatar

Not yet.

TJBM gets to do taxes today.

Nomore_Tantrums's avatar

Already done. Baseball practice for grandson today. Then hopefully home in time to watch Survivor. TJBM is enjoying a warm and sunny day.

Dutchess_III's avatar

Nooo. Cold and wet.

TJBM will be dropping stuff off for the kids in their mailbox today. Highlights magazine among them.

SnipSnip's avatar

No. That would be illegal. https://about.usps.com/news/state-releases/tx/2010/tx_2010_0909.htm

TJBM took a relaxing walk today, perhaps on the beach. (I did and it was wonderful)

Dutchess_III's avatar

No. Spent a relaxing 2 hours with my tax guy.
TJBM Is getting dried onion soup right now.

Nomore_Tantrums's avatar

Having pork chops tonight. Later. After kiddos get picked up from activities. TJBM likes Survivor.

rebbel's avatar

This Jelly has no idea what Survivor is (or, has never laid eyes on it).
TJBM doesn’t know how fast they need to be to be TJBM.

Dutchess_III's avatar

Well people can see people composing. Hopefully they’ll have the manners to wait their turn.

TJBM received their last Amazon package for awhile.

Nomore_Tantrums's avatar

Never get them anyway, unless I order something for one of the grand kids. But, they seem to have outgrown My Little Pet Shop and Football cards. TJBM is ready to hit the hay. Early.

Dutchess_III's avatar

No earlier than usual.

TJBM is a good cook.

Nomore_Tantrums's avatar

Not according to my wife. Banned from our kitchen in perpetuity. TJBM enjoys yard work,

JLeslie's avatar

No. Mostly, I don’t like the bee and wasp risk.

TJBM Thinks Russia will eventually get control over a Ukraine.

Brian1946's avatar

I heard that Ukrainian forces are retaking some of the territory that they lost, but all I can say for now is that I hope not.

TJBM knows what happens if they simultaneously press Ctrl + the up arrow.

Dutchess_III's avatar

LOL!!! But press the down arrow and see what happens!

TJBM knows that Microsoft built a lot of fun stuff into their programs.

Brian1946's avatar

@Dutchess_III I don’t have to press it, because I’m already at the bottom! ;p

SnipSnip's avatar

I’m more familiar with the dangerous stuff.

TJBM has taken sugar out of his or her diet.

Tropical_Willie's avatar

Yes, less than 80 grams of carbs.

TJBM has a vacation planned for April.

SnipSnip's avatar

Well, I do have a trip planned but it will be part work and part fun.

TJBM is looking for a new place to live.

Patty_Melt's avatar

Yup as of Friday I will be homeless. I am working my way through a long list of rentals to find something in my price range. I’ll be on a bus overnight and getting a motel so I can sign documents in person, and scout the city for the best locations for me. I will have to come back to get my stuff out of storage.

TJBM has a funny smell in their home they can’t track down.

SnipSnip's avatar

No.

TJBM will visit someone in the hospital or long-term-care this week.

Dutchess_III's avatar

Not that I know of.

TJBM has a big gaping hole in an exterior wall and it’s snowing like hell!
See?

Nomore_Tantrums's avatar

TJAM will nigh on freeze to death with that gap in the wall and more snow coming! TJBM is enjoying a warm balmy day.

Dutchess_III's avatar

Oh shut up TJAM!

TJBM is surviving.

Nomore_Tantrums's avatar

LOL @ TJAM but but but I was just feeling your deep freeze! And yes, surviving and warm. Hello sun! TJBM will take over from here : )

Mimishu1995's avatar

I’m still alive.
TJBM is TJBM.

Nomore_Tantrums's avatar

Huh? TJAM will clarify. And happy to hear you are alive! TJBM has been told they are so laid back, they are almost dead.

Dutchess_III's avatar

Never been told that!

TJBM is TJAM.

Nomore_Tantrums's avatar

Yup. TJBM says I need a break. Going outside to enjoy some warm spring weather. TJBM may have the floor.

Dutchess_III's avatar

Would you quit already! It’s 35⁰ here!

Thanks for the floor, but I have French doors now.

TJBM wants a PB&H sammich.

Tropical_Willie's avatar

Is that a peanut butter and ham sammich ?

TJBM knows how to make killer beef short ribs.

Forever_Free's avatar

yes. Also make some killer bee honey.

TJBM is a spongebob fan

Dutchess_III's avatar

No. But my grandkids are.

TJBM has a boat ton of movies they bought from Amazon Prime.

Patty_Melt's avatar

Nope. I recorded most of mine from cable channels. Most of the ones I bought came from eBay.
TJBM color coordinates how they arrange their closet.

chyna's avatar

Yes I do. It makes my life easier.

TJBM has an extensive shoe collection.

JLeslie's avatar

I guess it depends on what you consider extensive. I’m going to answer no, but I do have about 30 pairs of shoes (that includes boots, sandals, sneakers, etc) plus 3 pairs of ballet shoes. I think about half of the shoes could fall apart at any moment they are so old.

TJBM is into fashion.

SnipSnip's avatar

Absolutely not.

TJBM has a knack for creating beautiful flower arrangements.

JLeslie's avatar

Not me, but my BIL’s had a business for years doing it and also event planning

TJBM exercises daily.

SnipSnip's avatar

I should, but no. I’ve turned rationalizing not exercising into an art form.

TJBM is ready to send Disney packing.

Brian1946's avatar

Disney was never my roommate. ;) The last time I went to Disneyland was 1980.

TJBM knows what a wildlife overpass is.

SQUEEKY2's avatar

Uh yeah sure,doesn’t everybody?
TJBM knows what I mean when I said I had to put the jewelry on last night.

Nomore_Tantrums's avatar

Not really. I assume you mean you took the Lady out dancing and romancing. TJBM is watching William Shatners “Unexplained” on cable. Trippy show, but hogwash.

Dutchess_III's avatar

I am not watching it.

TJBM will be watching a documentary of some kind at some point today.

Nomore_Tantrums's avatar

I’d like to, I enjoy documentaries as a rule. Just no time today. TJBM needs to get on with the get along, full slate of things to do today.

Dutchess_III's avatar

No. Not much to do here. I did make a meatloaf for later, and I put @jca2 French onion soup mix on it. Can’t wait to see how it turns out.

TJBM put 2 new doors in their house this week.

Nomore_Tantrums's avatar

Meatloaf yummmm! Sorry to break the thread I will butt out now

Dutchess_III's avatar

TJBM can only do so much by themselves

Nomore_Tantrums's avatar

Nah I can do most of it, wife has a bad knee. TJBM enjoys working alone.

Dutchess_III's avatar

I do enjoy it.

TJBM just vacuumed the bedroom.

Nomore_Tantrums's avatar

Did the whole house today. Waiting for grands to get home and trash the carpet again. TJBM is energetic today.

SnipSnip's avatar

I’ve been someone energetic today but nothing to brag about.

TJBM has recently thought about going back to school.

tedibear's avatar

It’s something I get the bug to do every four or five years. While I’m not looking to do another degree or certificate, I’m considering some kind of art class.

TJBM has accidentally worn two different shoes.

Nomore_Tantrums's avatar

Never that I can recall. TJBM wants to sleep all day.

SnipSnip's avatar

I do not. I sleep 7–9 hours each night but stay in bed for awhile after I wake.
@tedibear I have worn two different shoes….all the way into my office. We all laughed until we cried. The same morning people were looking at me strangely as I drove to work. Once there I realized one of the lenses had fallen out of my sunglasses. Those two things were the start of an otherwise good day. :)

TJBM has experienced loss of taste and/or smell that had nothing to do with illness.

Dutchess_III's avatar

Well, it’s changed. Not sure why.

TJBM got a good deal on a patio table.

Mimishu1995's avatar

What is a patio table?
TJBM knows an obscure but useful fact.

Brian1946's avatar

I do. If you store rubber bands in a refrigerator, they’ll last much longer.

TJBM knows who posted the first TJBM thread.

Patty_Melt's avatar

A patio is an outdoor space which is usually a cement floor where people relax, visit with company, cook out on a grill. Patio furniture is usually lightweight and easy to fold or in some way store away to protect it from bad weather. A popular style for patio tables includes a removable shade.

Darn it @Brian, you jumped in on me. No I don’t know who started it, though I think it has been mentioned since I joined.

TJBM will not jump in to be TJAM.

Brian1946's avatar

@Patty_Melt There was no visible green ”...is crafting a response” rectangle when I posted.

Mimishu1995's avatar

Well I’m not going to pretend to be Brian so :D

TJBM can see that there is some technical misunderstanding here.

Nomore_Tantrums's avatar

Yup, had it happen to me before too. TJBM is having a quiet weekend,

SnipSnip's avatar

I am. It’s raining and I just love it.

TJBM has or wants to have a pickup truck.

Dutchess_III's avatar

Patio table.

Another view.

We have a pick up and I hate it.

TJBM has a garage.

Nomore_Tantrums's avatar

Nice table @TJAM The garage at this house, or what was a garage, has been turned into a guest room. But we have a big enough driveway it’s not an issue. TJBM is watching TV.

Dutchess_III's avatar

Yes. A documentary of steam locomotives.

TJBM needs to change their sheets.

Tropical_Willie's avatar

Just received a set and they finished the washing and drying.

TJBM is having fish for dinner, I am “blackened” Swordfish

Dutchess_III's avatar

Turkey sandwich from Subway.

TJBM is cooking something exotic for dinner.

Nomore_Tantrums's avatar

I wish. Got to head in to work, otherwise I’d fire the grill up or treat Mamma Bear to Chinese. Cooking is on wife today, TJBM likes to cook outside on their grill.

JLeslie's avatar

No, I let my husband do that.

TJBM is cooking something special for the upcoming holiday and will tell us the menu.

SQUEEKY2's avatar

@Dutchess_III why for heavens sake would you hate a pick-up truck?
I can’t imagine owning any other kind of vehicle.
TJBM doesn’t know what putting on the jewelry means, to transport drivers.

JLeslie's avatar

^^breach of etiquette. Seems to me you should have answered my question or repeated it for the next jelly.

I have no idea what putting on jewelry means.

TJBM is cooking something special for the upcoming holiday and will tell us the menu.

Nomore_Tantrums's avatar

Probably just do the home grilled burgers thing. TJBM will be having an Easter egg hunt.

snowberry's avatar

No.

TJBM doesn’t eat certain foods. Name them.

JLeslie's avatar

Humane reasons: veal.

Because I simply don’t like them: cheesecake, cream cheese, blueberries, plain raw tomatoes.

TJBM cleans their house top to bottom every week.

SnipSnip's avatar

I don’t have as much to do since my kids are gone and I downsized out of my big house. My place is easy to keep clean and I am enjoying that.

TJBM does not order in restaurant food. (I certainly do not)

Dutchess_III's avatar

You wouldn’t own any other vehicle (than a pick up) @SQUEEKY2. That’s a guy thing.

Yes I do do pick up resturaunt food sometimes. Why wouldn’t I?

TJBM is watching a documentary.

JLeslie's avatar

Yes, I am! About Nancy Pelosi. That’s a coincidence.

TJBM Likes to swim.

Dutchess_III's avatar

I do. Except now I’m closer to drowning than swimming. Guess my Weekie Watchee mermaid days are over.

TJBM wanted to be some thing crazy as a kid.

SnipSnip's avatar

@Dutchess_III Ordering for delivery and picking up are two completely different things.

Nope.

TJBM is happy to have access to Season 14 of Heartland.

Dutchess_III's avatar

What @snip?

Not watching Heartland.

TJBM trained their dog to not go outside until they give the word.

SnipSnip's avatar

@Dutchess_III Look a few posts up.

Tropical_Willie's avatar

TJAM didn’t do a TJBM !

^^^^ . . .and your point is @SnipSnip ? ?

TJBM made some killer egg bites in a muffin tin this week. I did !

Dutchess_III's avatar

I can’t read your mind @snip. We were talking about pick up trucks.

I don’t know what egg bites are.

TJBM makes homemade egg McMuffins.

Dutchess_III's avatar

TW can’t read your mind either @snip.

Tropical_Willie's avatar

8 eggs whipped with cheese and small meat pieces in a 12 cup muffin pan.

Sometimes we use raisin cinnamon muffins, we always have Canadian bacon in the freezer and English muffins.

TJBM has a bottle of Prosecco in the frig if they win the lottery.

Dutchess_III's avatar

No. I have milk though.

TJBM is watching a true story on TV.

Patty_Melt's avatar

My TV is loaded on the trailer which will take all my stuff to another state. In a few hours I will be on the highway. I expect to be on the Kansas City bypass late morning. I will wave on my way by. If we leave as planned, maybe a late lunch in Tulsa.

TJBM is ready for a change.

Forever_Free's avatar

Yes. The skiis have been put away and the bikes are out. Ready for spring to appear.

TJBM will be planting a garden this year.

Dutchess_III's avatar

You coming right through here @Patty_Melt! We’re about 15 miles from the Oklahoma border.

Just kind of waiting for change to happen.

TJBM thinks outside of the box.

Mimishu1995's avatar

Do I? :D
TJBM knows the answer.

Nomore_Tantrums's avatar

Nope. Do you? TJBM is more tired than usual today.

SnipSnip's avatar

Nope.

TJBM woke with a pain today.

Dutchess_III's avatar

Always.

TJBM lives with chronic pain.

JLeslie's avatar

I do have times I’m out of pain now, but many movements cause me pain throughout the day. It’s nothing compared to what I had in my mid 20’s to early 30’s when I truly was never free of pain at any time during the day or night. It was awful and like being in prison.

TJBM wants their neighbor to trim a tree or bushes that is unsightly.

Dutchess_III's avatar

No. I mind my own business.

TJBM needs to get 3 tree stumps ground down before they throw out grass seed.

JLeslie's avatar

Nope. I had a very small tree removed about six months ago, no stumps to deal with.

TJBM is tired of the expensive housing market and thinks climbing interests rates might settle it down.

SnipSnip's avatar

If I can work out the deal that is in the making I will love this market and get just what I want.

TJBM prefers bottled spring water over bottled purified water. (I do)

Tropical_Willie's avatar

Tap water for me.

TJBM has a major shopping trip planned for tomorrow.

SnipSnip's avatar

No. My days of “shopping trips” have been finished and done for a long time.

TJBM is trying to avoid being dragged into becoming involved in planning a big social event….or even a medium sized one.

Mimishu1995's avatar

Nothing like that right now, thanks God :D

TJBM just saw something so incredible they can’t help but share it.

Nomore_Tantrums's avatar

No. TJBM just woke up.

Nomore_Tantrums's avatar

@TJAM Actually, after pondering your post above, I did see something incredible yesterday. One of our kids (community league baseball), the smallest kid and worst hitter on the team, knocked the ball right over the fence at practice yesterday. If he can keep that up, we might actually have a shot this time : ) TJBM needs a vacation.

Tropical_Willie's avatar

Always !

TJBM is going to get a fly trap for fruit flies.

Strauss's avatar

I made a trap similar to this one.

TJBM will share another YouTube “hack”.

SnipSnip's avatar

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R-oONZgDT0M

ENJOY!!

TJBM is not enjoying my video selection.

Dutchess_III's avatar

:D

TJBM had a hamburger today for the first time in 2 years.

SnipSnip's avatar

No, but I did just finish a wonderful supper.

TJBM wears colored contact lenses.

Dutchess_III's avatar

No. I had Lasix in 1999. No more contacts for me! YAY!

TJBM has had eye surgery in the past.

SnipSnip's avatar

Yes I have.

TJBM prefers a job supervising others.

JLeslie's avatar

I really enjoyed being a manager, but I’m not one now. At one point I had 30 people under me.

TJBM has tried Dole Whip at Disney World, or somewhere else.

Nomore_Tantrums's avatar

Not even sure what that is, and I haven’t been to any Disney parks since I was a teen. TJBM will just chill tonight.

Dutchess_III's avatar

Yes. Pretty much every night.

TJBM is getting some remodeling done on their house.

snowberry's avatar

It’s so slow it looks like we’ve stopped.

TJBM listens to off season Christmas music.

Nomore_Tantrums's avatar

Not this guy, I get enough of it from Thanksgiving night thru New Year Day. TJBM is tired of the ceaselessly yapping dog next door.

tedibear's avatar

Grateful to answer NO to this. The dogs in our neighborhood are quiet and well behaved.

TJBM has filed their income taxes.

Tropical_Willie's avatar

And filed an amended tax return; somebody sent out a an inaccurate 1099 . . . . . our mortgage holder for a refund they sent us.

TJBM loves Loves LOVES LOVES Lobster !

Nomore_Tantrums's avatar

Do do do but can rarely rarely rarely afford it. Go out for it anyway. TJBM is ready to put tax season behind them.

SnipSnip's avatar

I am but not quite ready to post it yet…a couple more days.

TJBM is conflicted about something important career-wise.

Strauss's avatar

Not conflicted at all; I’m retired!

TJBM has adjusted to the “new normal”...whatever that might be!

JLeslie's avatar

Yes. It’s so very close to my old normal that it’s fine. I’m just a little more cautious about some situations. I think the country is still in a state of flux, it’s not really over yet. Companies still figuring out work schedules, and some people are back to their old normal like covid never existed and some aren’t.

TJBM Hopes masks on public transportation remains in place forever more.

SnipSnip's avatar

I do not.

TJBM is taking a news break.

Patty_Melt's avatar

I’m in a shelter, so yeah, no news, just move around like a zombie and wait for the next meal.

TJBM has been robbed some time. a friend nicking your new cd doesn’t count.

Nomore_Tantrums's avatar

Actually, yes. Years ago, when we visited Bourbon Street and the French Quarter in New Orleans. Kind of a late honeymoon, and someone broke into our car outside the motel we stayed at. Stole some clothes and a suitcase and broke the back wind shield. Insurance paid for the windshield damage, stuck like Chuck on the other loss. Bad memory. TJBM has had a similar unpleasant experience.

Dutchess_III's avatar

Well….my son and his friend broke out a back car window with a sling shot when they were about 10.

TJBM is sick of the ceaseless wind.

Nomore_Tantrums's avatar

No joke re: Wind. Doing us no favors at all, even the Army is having hell putting out a big fire at Fort Hood. TJBM will be cooking outside this evening.

Dutchess_III's avatar

Not in this wind!

TJBM is sad that the only grocery store in town is closing soon.

JLeslie's avatar

Not my situation, but I would be sad if that was happening.

TJBM is worried about someone who left zumba class early. (I am)

snowberry's avatar

I don’t even know anyone who does Zumba.

TJBM has a pool on their property.

JLeslie's avatar

Nope. I did years ago. I’m thinking I want one again. Oscillating between the expense and upkeep of it and the convenience. I can’t fit one on my current property.

TJBM loves to go swimming.

Nomore_Tantrums's avatar

I used to but I leave that to my Grands now. No energy. TJBM needs an extended break from politics.

Mimishu1995's avatar

I have not read about politics for a long time. I’m doing well mentally.

TJBM has a story about a time when they helped someone.

Dutchess_III's avatar

Well sure I do.

TJBM will tell us the story of a time they helped someone.

Nomore_Tantrums's avatar

I helped a guy just yesterday. Guy at an Austin intersection was offering to clean wind shields of cars stopped at the light. Mine didn’t need cleaning but I gave him 5 bucks anyway, felt sorry for him. Sue me. TJBM is tired today.

Dutchess_III's avatar

Not too tired.

TJBM is having sheetrock installed.

Strauss's avatar

No, but been there, done that wore out the t-shirt. We might be doing some soon. #1 son wants to remodel and finish the basement this summer.

TJBM has plans for the summer.

Nomore_Tantrums's avatar

Possibly take the grand kids on a day trip or two, nothing far or spectacular. That’s about it. TJBM will stay home and relax this summer.

Dutchess_III's avatar

I will.

TJBM is going to a community Easter Egg hunt at the park today.

Nomore_Tantrums's avatar

No, will be doing our usual a back yard Easter Egg hunt on Easter Sunday. In addition to the usual grilled outdoor burgers. Weather permitting. TJBM hopes for fair weather on Easter weekend.

SnipSnip's avatar

Yes.

TJBM is shocked at the cost of appliances.

Patty_Melt's avatar

I’m counting on it. I hope to be in Texas by then.

TJBM has done something they think is very funny, but some people think is crazy.
Tell the story.

SnipSnip's avatar

Not in a thousand years. :)

TJBM is procrastinating to a point that is out of character for him or her.

Nomore_Tantrums's avatar

Procrastination is my middle name. I’ll tell you a funny but painful story. I was a bit of a wild man in my younger days, always thought it was funny to get bounced out of clubs. Until one night I was physically thrown out on the sidewalk three times. At that point I decided going back in probably wasn’t worth the trouble. TJBM has a tale to tell.

snowberry's avatar

I have lots of them. Most of you never hear them.

TJBM likes peanut butter.

Brian1946's avatar

I do- Santa Cruz organic crunchy no-stir.

TJBM can find someone in this thread with a palindromic lurve total.

JLeslie's avatar

Yes, but it will probably change by the time this answer is read. Snowberry is currently at 26062.

TJBM Likes to create things with their hands.

SnipSnip's avatar

I used to do more of that kind of thing.

TJMB has ownership in a business in which he or she has no on-site presence (other than simply owning shares of the stock).

Strauss's avatar

I don’t know if this counts: I have an 401K account with a company that sends mu updates. As of March it was worth $0.02.

Strauss's avatar

^^OH!
TJBM will forgive me for almost missing the “TJBM” part of the answer.

Tropical_Willie's avatar

Maybe . . . . EIGHT HOURS LATER ! ! !

TJBM is going to make chicken enchiladas this week !

Strauss's avatar

No, but I’m making tacos mañana for Taco Tuesday!

TJBM has a culinary tradition.

JLeslie's avatar

I think so. I’m not sure I know the correct definition. I have cultural traditions like potato latkes and matzo ball soup. I’m in a Facebook Passover recipe group, and for the past month it’s been very active with people discussing recipes and it’s so interesting that people all over the world have some of the same dishes they make for the holiday. People post recipes in their great grandmothers’ handwriting! [Pretend three emoji hearts are here]. My mom didn’t make “Jewish food” regularly, but some of the foods make me feel connected to my ancestors and other Jewish people around the world. I think food especially takes on meaning to people who have migrated from other countries.

TJBM Will tell us what they plan to do for Easter.

Nomore_Tantrums's avatar

Easter egg hunt in back yard, burgers grilled outside if it doesn’t rain. (Which we actually need badly). TJBM will reveal their own holiday plans, if any.

SnipSnip's avatar

We’ve no special plans for Easter aside from celebrating the true meaning of the day. We will not see the family and plan to cook honey bourbon pork loin for lunch.

Mimishu1995's avatar

TJBM still remember the world “TJBM”.

Brian1946's avatar

Yep- I totally remember The Jelly Before Me! ;p

TJBM has had a Covid-19 booster shot.

Dutchess_III's avatar

Yes I have. Been vaccinated 6 ways from Sunday.

TJBM keeps getting hot, then sweating, then freezing and they know what that means.

JLeslie's avatar

No. The only flashes I’ve had are when I’m over-dosed on my thyroid medication. Freaked me out a little the first time it was happening, I was only in my early 40’s. Changed my meds, and it went away.

TJBM eats too much pizza.

Brian1946's avatar

For me, more than once a month is too much, but I’ve had pizza twice in the last 4 weeks.

TJBM’s doctor says they need more pizza in their diet. ;p

Mimishu1995's avatar

Now I wish I had a doctor like that…
TJBM severely lacks chocolate in their diet.

Brian1946's avatar

Yep- I’m actually sitting here in an emergency room getting a Toblerone transfusion! :P

TJBM remembers how long ago it was that they last ate.

Dutchess_III's avatar

TJBM is waiting for the Spring storms.

Brian1946's avatar

TJ is wishing for mucho spring storms, although you and @Nomore_Tantrums can keep your tornadoes. ;)

TJBM has swam in either the Mekong river or the East Vietnam Sea. ;)

Strauss's avatar

No. But I’ve swam in DaNang Harbor and the South China Sea.

TJBM has a good idea!

Mimishu1995's avatar

Let’s all find a good beach and feast on what we lack in our diet together!

TJBM think it’s a good idea!

Nomore_Tantrums's avatar

That would be a great idea. Provided that cold beer is provided. TJBM says a pox on tornados. (We dodged the bullet on another one last night, but the rain is welcome).

Mimishu1995's avatar

I have never insulted a tornado before, but I’m glad that you are still here with us :)

TJBM has swum in an exotic beach.

Tropical_Willie's avatar

I swan with the stingrays in Grand Cayman.

TJBM needs to go on vacation this Summer.

Mimishu1995's avatar

I want to, and maybe I can, depending on my work schedule.

TJBM has no summer vacation :(

Nomore_Tantrums's avatar

Not in a traditional sense, but I can take time off from work whenever I need to, (a perk of being a bud of the boss), so I might take the grands on a short road trip or two this summer. TJBM is looking forward to Easter weekend.

Dutchess_III's avatar

Yes. Get to see 6/10 grandkids.

TJBM is impatiently waiting for an Amazon delivery.

SnipSnip's avatar

Not me.

TJBM has a birth mark that he or she wishes was covered by clothing.

Forever_Free's avatar

I do not

TJBM has their golf clubs ready for an outing

Brian1946's avatar

I don’t, but I do have a baseball mitt that’s waiting for an inning.

TJBM knows their latitude.

Tropical_Willie's avatar

Well I was close it 37 and I thought it was 39.

TJBM has dinner planned or going on stove.

Dutchess_III's avatar

Yes. Rick is going take his magic cheese dip which we have with tortilla chips.

TJBM doesn’t need multiple foods their meals.

SnipSnip's avatar

We like one-pot meals and I’m a master at creating them.

TJBM just finished dinner and ate a little too much. ;)

Nomore_Tantrums's avatar

Haven’t had dinner at all yet, but DIL is taking kiddos out and will bring us all a plate. TJBM likes a surprise.

JLeslie's avatar

No.

TJBM is planning a vacation.

Dutchess_III's avatar

Snort! No.

TJBM just keeps hanging on.

Nomore_Tantrums's avatar

Yup, hanging on and getting by is my stock in trade. TJBM is worn out and ready for the weekend,

Mimishu1995's avatar

I’m kind of worn out, but I’m not looking for the weekend. That’s the time with the most work for me :(

TJBM has a job with strange work schedule.

JLeslie's avatar

Yup. I work pretty much whenever. I can’t be in some shared documents when my European counterpart is in this documents, so I often work late afternoon, but sometimes I work early or evening. No real schedule.

TJBM is planning to retire before age 65.

Brian1946's avatar

In 2003 I was planning to retire at age 56, and I did.

TJBM will reveal how far they live, or used to live from work.

Tropical_Willie's avatar

2 and a half miles from my last job.

TJBM makes most of the meals for the household.

Nomore_Tantrums's avatar

No, it’s a shared task usually, my wife and I work together. The son and DIL assist at times as well. Unless I can twist her arm to let me take her out. TJBM is happy to see spring.

SnipSnip's avatar

Not really. I hate the hot weather of summer, which is pretty much all year. It’s over 90 degrees right now.

TJBM is bothered by a spot on his or her back that itches causing extreme cursing and backscratcher use.

JLeslie's avatar

Yes!! I can’t believe you asked that. I just googled back scratchers yesterday.

TJBM tries to always put their feet up when sitting at home.

SnipSnip's avatar

The only place I sit is at my desk in a desk chair. My feet are not up. If I watch TV it is in my office as well, because I’m always doing more than one thing it seems. Every house I go in I see recliners. I have never had a need or desire for one. I don’t sit in the family room unless we have company.

TJBM still writes a good many checks.

Dutchess_III's avatar

Some. Mainly to avoid electronic debit fees.

TJBM watches a lot of documentaries.

Mimishu1995's avatar

I don’t watch that much documentaries to be counted as “a lot”, but I gain a lot from whatever few I watch. My type of docs gravitate toward true crime and strange medical phenomena.

TJBM will recommend a good documentary.

Nomore_Tantrums's avatar

I always liked Jaques Cousteau’s Nature / ocean documentaries. RIP to him, but about any of his old films are still worth viewing. TJBM likes reality shows about survival in the wilds.

Forever_Free's avatar

@Nomore_Tantrums one of my cousins worked with Jacques Cousteau on the Calypso

I loved “ALONE” and others similar

TJBM Feels like they are isolated at this moment.

snowberry's avatar

No.

TJBM will tell us what they eat for breakfast.

JLeslie's avatar

White omelet with low salt ham and lite Swiss cheese, also a side salad, and water to drink.

TJBM is binging on a TV show and will tell us which one.

rebbel's avatar

I haven’t watched TV in aeons.
Last series I binged on Netflix though, were Breaking Bad, and Better Call Saul.

TJBM was unpleasantly surprised that it was colder outside than anticipated (clothes wise).

SnipSnip's avatar

No.. I love cold weather. It’s over 90 degrees here.

TJBM doesn’t stay logged in to any online accounts or sites…..they log out every visit.

Nomore_Tantrums's avatar

I hardly ever log out, always forget passwords and have hell getting back in. TJBM is thinking of taking back up an activity they used to do, but gave up on,

Strauss's avatar

Yes! I’m thinking about getting back into woodworking. I have most of the equipment I would need. I just need to rearrange the garage.

TJBM is celebrating this weekend.

SnipSnip's avatar

Yes.

TJBM likes to refinish old wooden furniture.

Strauss's avatar

Yes! That’s what my first project will be. We have a Lane mid-century modern set of cocktail/end tables that we found in a consignment shop in Georgia in the early nineties. When we looked at the house where we now live, they had a Lane dining set in the same style. They gave ut to us when we bought the house. Now the furniture still looks good, but after 20+ years of kids, dogs and living, it’s ready to be restored to its former glory.

TJBM will be restored to their former glory.

snowberry's avatar

I never had any glory to begin with, but my end will be much better than my beginning!

TJBM doesn’t cook much.

Dutchess_III's avatar

No, I don’t.

TJBM is waiting for their dog to wake up.

Strauss's avatar

No, my dog usually wakes me up.

TJBM knows what a mnemonic device is (hint: it’s not technology).

SnipSnip's avatar

I do, without the hint.

TJBM can tell quickly if they want a new acquaintance to ever become a friend.

Dutchess_III's avatar

Usually.

TJBM has a new dining room. Almost.

JLeslie's avatar

Nope. My formal dining room table is in a crate and 29 years old. My kitchen nook, what I use as my dining room, has shelving that is basically cubes from 29 years ago and my kitchen table and chairs are 21 years old.

TJBM uses nail polish stickers with cute patterns to do their nails.

Dutchess_III's avatar

New dining room.

I bite my nails so I don’t have to do all that foo foo crap.

TJBM likes the gypsy/Bohemian look..

JLeslie's avatar

Yes, I do.

TJBM knows someone who has covid right now.

Mimishu1995's avatar

No one right now, but my grandparents and two of my friends had it recently. They also report long Covid symptoms. I’m concerned for them.

TJBM has an interesting story to tell that actually lasts more than two sentences. To be honest, I’m really bored with people writing only one sentence like “yes, I did that” or “no, I don’t”. I just want to see something interesting to revive my interest. TJBM used to be a great source of meaningful conversation for me, and @Brian1946 is a good example of that.

Dutchess_III's avatar

Not going to tell a long story here.

TJBM has a long story to tell.

Mimishu1995's avatar

Ooh I see a worthy competitor :D

SnipSnip's avatar

I have many, but not for here.

TJBM has stock piled a few things anticipating shortages.

Brian1946's avatar

True.

@Mimishu1995 Please have compassion for those who don’t have your literal prolificacy. ;(

TJBM refuses to post a reply to this one.

JLeslie's avatar

I don’t refuse to reply.

TJBM Is getting ready for hurricane season.

Dutchess_III's avatar

Tornadoes here.

TJBM found themselves $17,000 over drawn on Saturday.

SnipSnip's avatar

No way, but now I must go and make sure all is OK. Thanks for that. ;)

TJBM has never overdrawn on an account.

Dutchess_III's avatar

I would likento say that’s true, but shit happens. (BTW, it wasn’t me. It was the IRS! Those dirty dogs!)

TJBM is getting a new living room this week.

Forever_Free's avatar

Yes, They are carefully removing the room down to the studs and replacing it. It’s going to be Fabulous!

TJBM owns a tin foil hat.

Strauss's avatar

No. True tinfoil is harder to come by these days. Aluminum has different electromagnetic properties, so I don’t even bother.

TJBM has a something they don’t bother with anymore.

Dutchess_III's avatar

True. Worrying about how nice my house looks. Sheesh.

TJBM is friends with the neighbor’s dog.

JLeslie's avatar

Nope. Neither of my neighbors on the immediate left or right have dogs, but the woman two over has her dog peeing on my lawn, and it’s killing that area of my grass. She lives two doors down! The dog can go on her grass. Probably, more than her dog is making my lawn their potty. I might put a little sign saying “lawn just treated with chemicals.”

The neighbor behind me, her son, when he visits, brings his dog. That dog is a fairly large dog, and barks way too much, but he’s very cute and playful. A few months ago I saw him over at the back door of my other neighbor behind me barking. He wanted that neighbor’s dog to come out and play. Lol. I do enjoy watching those two dogs do their antics. They run around the yard, and seem to genuinely enjoy themselves together.

TJBM wears a lot of blue.

SnipSnip's avatar

You bet!

TJBM is planning to visit, or has already, visited Israel.

Dutchess_III's avatar

False. I would like to, but I can’t seem to even make it to the Pacific Northwest to see my family.

TJBM just saw the city spray paint on their lawn.

Forever_Free's avatar

Nope, My lawn is sand on the beach and they don’t drive there.

TJBM will tell us their favorite go to feel good movie.

Dutchess_III's avatar

Overboard!

TJBM is ready for it to warm up.

SnipSnip's avatar

It was 91 today. So, no.

TJBM will visit someone in the hospital or care home this week.

Dutchess_III's avatar

No. Not this week.

TJBM finally got some rain.

Tropical_Willie's avatar

Not until Tuesday . . . dry dry dry !

TJBM has been to the lowest place in America . . . Badwater, Basin California

Dutchess_III's avatar

No. Never.

TJBM has the best grandkids in the world.

rebbel's avatar

Unfortunately my parents-in-law couldn’t conceive children…
TJBM has a spa day today (or, a self care day).

snowberry's avatar

Every day is self care day for me.

TJBM will tell us their favorite vacation memory.

SnipSnip's avatar

@Tropical_Willie The Southernmost point in America is Key West, Florida.

SnipSnip's avatar

I’ve traveled a lot and have many memories that I treasure, but I am not going to write about them today.

TJBM is careful about fabric content of clothing and linens.

Dutchess_III's avatar

Well, not that careful.

TJBM has a BAD DOG!!!

tedibear's avatar

No. We have no dog. We both love dogs, but they require more time and energy than we have. Post-retirement, a dog may happen. We do have three cats, one of whom has jerk moments.

TJBM will share something they miss.

JLeslie's avatar

I miss having a house we loved.

TJBM has not been to the hair salon since covid started.

Dutchess_III's avatar

I’ve been 3 times.

TJBM had a baked potato for dinner.

SnipSnip's avatar

Not today; maybe tomorrow.

TJBM checks odds before playing the lottery.

JLeslie's avatar

Odds? The odds are the same every time you play for the lotteries that you pick numbers. The same every week for that particular lottery. I don’t check the odds.

TJBM falls asleep with the TV on.

Patty_Melt's avatar

I don’t like TV. I have fallen asleep four times while reading down through the additions on this thread.

TJBM has trouble sleeping when there is a lot of thunder, even though they are not afraid.

Dutchess_III's avatar

Oh no. Thunder lulls me. It’s the tornado sirens that annoy me.

TJBM appreciates salt.

SnipSnip's avatar

I have low sodium so use it if I want….I just don’t usually need to add it. Now I find I may have an issue that requires low use. I already have an issue that requires a higher than average salt intake. I give up. I’ll add salt if my taste requires it.

TJBM has found him/herself in a similar health dilemma.

Dutchess_III's avatar

Yeah. In the ER for life threateningly low sodium. Never told by a doc that I need to reduce my sodium intake.

TJBM has caught jellyfish before.

rebbel's avatar

That’s correct.
When we were twelve or fourteen, we were on the beach, with some friends, and we went in the sea to catch jelly fish (carefully) and then attack each other with them (aiming for our friends).
At certain wind directions, and probably a certain season, many jellies came flooding in.

TJBM would not be afraid to annoy Mr. Tyson, while locked up in a aluminium tube, 30,000 feet in the air.

Dutchess_III's avatar

I am afraid to annoy anyone.

TJBM will tell us the biggest fish they ever caught.

Tropical_Willie's avatar

40 pound black Sea Bass when I was 12. We were fishing on a boat from Ensenada harbor in Mexico.

TJBM like to eat fish.

Dutchess_III's avatar

Depends on the fish. I love salmon, hate catfish. Guess what we have in Kansas (hint. Not salmon.)

TJBM loves seafood.

JLeslie's avatar

I like many types of fish, but not a lot of shellfish, just shrimp and a crabcake is ok.

TJBM Is having trouble getting their work done today.

SnipSnip's avatar

I didn’t plan to work today and have done nothing of any consequence.

TJBM likes to go to live stand-up comedy shows.

tedibear's avatar

I do, though it has been many years since I have been to one. Rita Rudner was the last one.

TJBM has multiple errands to run today.

Patty_Melt's avatar

Very much so. I need to find a temporary place to live, file some paperwork to move into my new home, learn my way around a new city, and more.

TJBM secretly desires to play hopscotch again.

Mimishu1995's avatar

I don’t even know what hopscotch is. Well, I do see pictures of it, but I have never played it in person, and I have very vague ideas how it goes.

Isn’t it odd that one of the lesson in our center’s curriculum is the word hopscotch? I have never got to teach anyone about that word though.

TJBM will explain the game.

Dutchess_III's avatar

It’s a game we played at recess in elementary school. You chalk out squares on the side walk. You make a combination of 1 square and 2 squares. Then you hop. If you hop on one square you can only used one leg and 1 foot. 2 squares you use both legs and feet. You wind up in kind of a cool cadence, alternating between 1 and 2 feet. That’s why who ever draws the squares gets creative.

TJBM will explain Chinese jump rope to us.

snowberry's avatar

All I remember is that you used a long length of narrow elastic band such as you get in a sewing store. After that, I had to get directions on YouTube.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lggpXGceBxE

TJBM is fond of dogs

Dutchess_III's avatar

We’d string a million rubber bands together. Non of this fancy elastic stuff!

Dogs are OK. They sure like me tho. I’m very fond of my Cato dog.

TJBM likes animals in general.

Tropical_Willie's avatar

Yup!

TJBM has had a snake or lizard as a pet. We used to make cages out of two cake pans with some rabbit wire and Plaster of Paris in the bottom cake pan to hold the rabbit wire in place. We put a piece of drift wood for them to climb.

SnipSnip's avatar

My daughter had an iguana in her room which she kept in a big glass aquarium. That was the most boring pet I can imagine. He seemed like a statue.

TJBM has had a wild animal visit them at their house door. Yikes!

Dutchess_III's avatar

Possums. IN my house. So many possums. It took us years to figure out our German Sheperd was bringing them in, probably so they could eat a lunch of cat food!

TJBM had the Mayor, the Chief of Police, the City Manager, and ZZ Top driving a Bobcat at their house today.

Forever_Free's avatar

Not all of them. Only Billy Gibbons showed up. He dug a mean trench

TJBM has been on an airplane in the last 2 weeks.

JLeslie's avatar

Nope. I haven’t been on a plane in over two years.

TJBM paints their own nails.

Strauss's avatar

Haven’t painted them (or had them painted) in almost 70 years!

TJBM would like to live to be a supersesquicentenarian.

Dutchess_III's avatar

Well supersesquicentenarian sounds groovy. Do we get to smoke pot?

TJBM has a torn up yard.

SnipSnip's avatar

Nah. My yard looks nice, mostly because someone else takes care of it.

TJBM is getting tired of green pollen everywhere, particularly the car.

Dutchess_III's avatar

Haven’t noticed any.

TJBM is going to send maple tree seeds from Kansas to the Pacific Northwest to my grandson.

Strauss's avatar

“Sorry, we’re not in Kansas anymore, Toto!” He said as he left Kanorado. “But we get to smoke groovy pot!”

TJBM likes it!

Brian1946's avatar

True, I’d love to gain altitude in Coloransas!

TJBM sometimes watches something muted, while listening to some of their favorite tunes.

Mimishu1995's avatar

I don’t do that, but recently I have been playing video games while listening to Youtube. The games I play are just casual games like farming or fishing, game that don’t require too much concentration to play. I listen to podcasts of random topics or true crime stories. It’s a great way to learn while not missing out my games :P

I so listen to music when I edit my story. Piano songs help me concentrate the most.

TJBM has researched too much into something they think they have become too weird.

snowberry's avatar

Nope. Never!

TJBM likes an unusual food. What is it.

SnipSnip's avatar

Well, whatever I eat isn’t unusual to me. ;)

TJBM has had a shock by the increase of a particular item.

JLeslie's avatar

Increase in price? The clementine Cuties were very expensive when I was in the supermarket. I almost didn’t buy them on principle, but decided to splurge. I probably won’t again for a while. Usually, when something gets past a certain price I refuse to buy it in hopes the price will come down. I’ve been doing that with Honey Crisp apples for years. I refused to pay $4 a pound.

Dutchess_III's avatar

Knock knock….

Mimishu1995's avatar

TJBM will tell a joke with knock knock.

Dutchess_III's avatar

Knock knock.
Who’s there?
Little old lady.
Little old lady who?
I didn’t know you could yodle!

TJBM is watching a documentary about Portugal.

SnipSnip's avatar

Not so.

TJBM is in the mood for bakery treats. (I am on my way)

Dutchess_III's avatar

I just had a bowl of Honey Nut Cheerios so I’m good.

TJBM is trying to be patient.

SnipSnip's avatar

Yes I am. I see failure in my immediate future.

TJBM never changes names/pictures in user profiles once he or she set them up.

JLeslie's avatar

I change them. I change the one I have heat very rarely, maybe twice a year on average. Some years zero, some three times.

I change my Facebook profile picture quite often.

TJBM knows how to make some things in Origami.

snowberry's avatar

Yes!

TJBM doesn’t go out to eat much.

Mimishu1995's avatar

No. I don’t have as much money like I used to. And besides, I have so much good food at home that I don’t really care that much for eating out.
TJBM will tell us what they can make in Origami.

snowberry's avatar

I can make Japanese paper cranes.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FSijU52XJ7w

TJBM can do origami too.

Mimishu1995's avatar

I can make cranes, but that’s all. I used to be able to do a lot of things, from tables and chairs to other strange stuff. I used to have a book that was about making origami, and I made things as I read it. I lost the book and I don’t remember most of it now.

TJBM has a strange but relaxing hobby.

SnipSnip's avatar

I’m not sure I would know. I’m going with no.

TJBM limits their news-watching time.

Dutchess_III's avatar

I don’t watch as much as I read. And fact check along the way.

TJBM knows Spring is here because they’re under their first tornado watch and the media is treating it like Big News.

JLeslie's avatar

Not me. We had a tornado warning near us about a month ago, but not close enough for me to worry about my own house or safety.

TJBM Thinks we should start a new Q for the TJBM.

Dutchess_III's avatar

No. I don’t.

TJBM has seen or been in a tornado.

Tropical_Willie's avatar

Yup staying a motel in Columbus, GA. Shopping mall on other side of motel from where I was lost the glass atrium in the center of mall and large part of roof. Skipped the car dealership on my side of motel and hit airport tossing half a dozen private planes around.

TJBM Got distracted . . . . squirrel !

snowberry's avatar

Yes! Many squirrels!

TJBM has never had to hide from a tornado.

Dutchess_III's avatar

False. Only one time was I truly terrified though.

TJBM will share the worst natural disaster they’ve been in.

Strauss's avatar

Hitchhiking from Illinois to Minneapolis during the Blizzard of 1973.

TJBM has never experienced a blizzard.

Dutchess_III's avatar

False. I’m in Kansas dude! I remember the blizzard of 73 and the 1979 blizzard.

TJBM has boring weather.

Tropical_Willie's avatar

Well if you call 4 inches of snow and the city is shutdown for 5 or 6 days! They can’t drive down here and they have limited snow removal equipment.

TJBM has been in a blizzard where more than 26 inches of snow fell and the wind blew over 60 miles per hour.

SnipSnip's avatar

Yep. Wyoming. They call it a white-out.

TJBM has experienced the sunlight being blocked by flying animals or insects. We experienced it with mosquitoes in the Everglades and bats while in the boat outside a cave at dusk on a lake…unbelievable.

Dutchess_III's avatar

I have not.

TJBM has seen a full eclipse.

Strauss's avatar

Yes, both solar and lunar.

@SnipSnip Austin TX has that phenomenon on a regular basis from bats living under the South Congress Bridge.

TJBM has seen or experienced a swarm of (birds, insects, whatever) that temporarily stopped human activities.

Patty_Melt's avatar

I have seen unbelievable swarms of mormon flies, aka many other names, including mayflies.
However, I have never seen them stop anything.

TJBM has had to stop for some weird animal in the road. What was it?

Tropical_Willie's avatar

Holstein bull at 10;30 AT NIGHT ! In the fog on a winding country road.

TJBM has wanted to go to Australia for years.

Mimishu1995's avatar

I’m not sure. I realized over the years that I don’t actually like travel for the sake of traveling. Sure, it’s nice to be in a different place, but I want to travel on a purpose. Right now I haven’t thought of a reason for going to Australia yet…

TJBM has some suggestion for me.

Brian1946's avatar

True: don’t go to Oz, unless you enjoy being around an abundance of deadly fauna. ;-o

TJBM LOVES having eatery employees, sing Happy Birthday to them while dining! ;)

JLeslie's avatar

I hate having Happy Birthday sung to me while dining.

TJBM likes to use a robe after a shower.

Brian1946's avatar

Nope- that statement is more falsetto than Slim Whitman.
Actually, I prefer using a towel. ;)

TJBM did not sing Happy Birthday to the Earth on April 22nd. ;)

snowberry's avatar

Nope. Who said the Earth was born on April 22?

TJBM likes to eat lots of green foods.

Strauss's avatar

Yes. And red foods and orange foods and yellow foods and blue foods..but not a fan of green smoothies for breakfast.

TJBM is a foodie.

JLeslie's avatar

Not really. I like good food, but I hate when it runs someone’s life. My dad was obsessed with food when I was a kid; always so important to eat at a certain restaurant when we traveled or even at home my mom had to cook a full dinner even when she was exhausted. It has some negative feelings for me when people over-focus on food. At the same time, people who have a very bland one note palate can be difficult too.

TJBM Is tired of the decor in their house or apartment.

Dutchess_III's avatar

LOL! That’s an understatement. This is my decor and has been some variation of it for over a year. Yeah. Pretty sick of it.

Generally speaking TJBM never gets sick of their decor. Which they spent a lifetime putting together.

JLeslie's avatar

Generally, I don’t. My things and the colors make me feel “at home” and comfortable. When furniture starts to wear out or a new house has a very different feel, then I sometimes change things up, but some things I have had since I got married 29 years ago.

TJBM hates wearing socks and shoes, they much prefer sandals and flip flops.

SnipSnip's avatar

I live in flip flops outside and barefoot inside.

TJBM dreads receiving that insurance bill that seems to come ‘round so so often.

Patty_Melt's avatar

I don’t have any insurance policies.

TJBM eats foods according to seasons.

JLeslie's avatar

Yes and no. Some fruits I try to only eat in season. Watermelon, cherries, and nectarines, are a few of them. Other items I eat out of season, either because the produce shipped in is still good quality, or because it’s an ingredient used in a dish we like to eat regularly.

TJBM is in charge of something s/he doesn’t want to be in charge of.

SnipSnip's avatar

There is a list.

TJBM is up earlier than usual…...I sure am!

Dutchess_III's avatar

Nah. I get up whenever. I’m retired like that.

TJBM is looking forward to this upcoming year.

Strauss's avatar

I am. Just being my optimistic self.

TJBM knows how long I’ll have towait for “old enough to know better” to actually kick in.

Dutchess_III's avatar

Well, it hit me at about 25.

TJBM is happy with all this rain.

Patty_Melt's avatar

Indeed. I am a Texan now, so the other night it was in the 70s and a nice rain fell straight down; no wind. I was able to sit outside under an awning and enjoy the light-show and the sweet smell of fresh rain.

TJBM has something exciting to happen very soon. What?

JLeslie's avatar

Yes! My husband is coming home this weekend. Can’t wait!!

TJBM went out dancing for Cinco de Mayo.

SnipSnip's avatar

No. Not ever.

TJBM is worried about food prices. I read today that food prices by September are going to be a real issue for many Americans.

Strauss's avatar

Time to get back to the garden!

TJBM has a garden

Mimishu1995's avatar

My family has a garden. But it’s not for any essential purposes. The garden is for exquisite vegetables that are too expensive to buy. We can experiment with it without worrying about any damage. There is no damage so far, only good food on the table :)

TJBM wonders if someone would come to this thread and write an entire story as an answer.

SnipSnip's avatar

No, I don’t wonder about that. I know I would not read it.

TJBM enjoys spending days at a time alone in silence. Some people say they need this, others say that like this.

Dutchess_III's avatar

I do enjoy it.

TJBM always has to have something to do.

snowberry's avatar

Nope. I’ve known far too many people who search for something to do just to stay busy. Then they can’t wait to finish it. It’s an endless and stressful cycle. And stupid.

TJBM tries to cultivate good habits.

Dutchess_III's avatar

Sort of. At this point getting something to eat everyday is a challenge.

TJBM likes puzzles.

SnipSnip's avatar

I do, particularly word puzzles.

TJBM doesn’t have a smartphone.

Patty_Melt's avatar

I have a smartass phone.
TJBM has crossed state lines in the past month.

JLeslie's avatar

Nope. I haven’t been out of the state since summer 2021.

TJBM will tell us a favorite recipe.

snowberry's avatar

Avocado on toast, or something else crunchy.

TJBM keeps or us kept a bird as a pet

tedibear's avatar

I have not, but I enjoy visiting the two birds our friends have. They are beautiful and funny.

TJBM will tell us their weekend plans.

SnipSnip's avatar

It’s Mother’s Day.

TJBM is a law-abiding cautious driver.

Mimishu1995's avatar

Yes, I’m cautious, but I’m not a driver. I’m a rider.

TJBM knows what I’m talking about.

Brian1946's avatar

You ride a water buffalo, or is that a Thai thing? ;p

TJBM has ridden a motorcycle.

JLeslie's avatar

Yes, I have. On the back of a motorcycle with my husband.

TJBM likes to be scared.

Mimishu1995's avatar

Depends on the situation. Scared by a horror movie? Yeah, I like that. Scared by a danger in real life? No thanks.

TJBM doesn’t like text-to-speech voice.

Dutchess_III's avatar

No. It does too much stupid stuff.

SnipSnip's avatar

TJAM forgot something. Have I ever done that? Of course.

TJBM is already thinking that Father’s Day is right around the corner.

Dutchess_III's avatar

Oh, yes.

TJBM’s daughter’s dog had to be put down last night. Maggie was a good dog.
TJBM is sad.

JLeslie's avatar

Not sad, exhausted. Exhausted for the first time in 3 years. I know that because I always worry I can get sick when I’m so tired, and this is the first time I’ve felt like that since covid started. I took a long nap to hopefully ward off any possible illness.

TJBM Is worried the US is truly going to hell in a hand basket and wished they had dual citizenship (or is glad they have dual citizenship).

Patty_Melt's avatar

No on the duality. The globe is basically going all in the same direction. People in many countries are facing martial law, or situations leading that direction.
TJBM would like to live in peace, politically, but also socially. Neighbors can be too interested sometimes.

SnipSnip's avatar

Pass.

TJBM doesn’t always follow the rules.

Strauss's avatar

True. Th only rule I truly live by says that rules are made to be broken.

TJBM is familiar with Arlo Guthrie’s comment on “Blind Justice ”.

Dutchess_III's avatar

I am not.

TJBM is familiar with Alice’s Resturaunt.

Strauss's avatar

Yes. Alice’s Restaurant Masacree
There used to (and might still) be a place in Austin called Alice’s Restaurant. I hear they used to have an annual event called “Arlo Guthrie Festival”.

TJBM remembers Austin when it was weird to be weird.

Tropical_Willie's avatar

Austin has always been weird !

TJBM has a favorite restaurant ever !

SnipSnip's avatar

I do but it no longer exists. Never have found another to replace it.

TJBM doesn’t really like to eat out in restaurants.

JLeslie's avatar

Mixed feelings. I really like being served, not having to cook nor clean the kitchen, and especially when the restaurant is beautiful and comfortable. I don’t like how bad the food is for my health and worrying about getting sick. My solution is don’t go too often and fully enjoy the experience when I do go.

TJBM is not at home right now.

Strauss's avatar

No, I’m at home, and probably will be until I go see my doctor tomorrow.

TJBM is concerned for their health.

JLeslie's avatar

Yes. I always have my cardiac health in the back of my head. Now, I have some concern about my digestive tract. It feels like I might have some sort of narrowing in the intestines somewhere. That’s how it feels, who knows what it is. It has been for two years now. I guess I will try another doctor. I went to a specialist a year and a half ago.

TJBM likes video calls better than regular phone calls.

Strauss's avatar

Yes, especially with my hearing loss. Although now that I have my new bluetooth enabled hearing aids, both types are better.

TJBM has recently experienced new life enhancing technology.

Dutchess_III's avatar

All the time. Building this house from the ground up. New dishwasher, new fridge, new stove, toilet, shower….going without long enough makes them feel like magic when you get them back.

TJBM loves “Ask This Old House.”

SnipSnip's avatar

No idea what that is. My family is renovating a house built in 1901 for a country getaway.

TJBM is particular about their keyboard.

Dutchess_III's avatar

Well,, I blow it out every so often.

TJBM wishes they could work the way they used to.

Patty_Melt's avatar

AB
SO
LOOT
LEE !

TJBM would travel to another planet to live, if one was available.
What would be your favorite feature there?

Dutchess_III's avatar

Nobody else there!

TJBM is out of debt.

JLeslie's avatar

I have some debt. I have a mortgage of around $100,000 and one car that is a lease. I always pay off my credit cards in full, but at any given time there is around $1,500 in charges. I have been debt free in the past if you don’t include the credit card thing, but we chose to put a mortgage on this current house.

TJBM Has a bunch of mosquito bites like me.

Dutchess_III's avatar

Nope. I haven’t reacted to mosquito bites in years.

TJBM wants a Bobcat. The tractor.

SnipSnip's avatar

No, I prefer an Audi. ;)

TJBM is a gum chewer.

Dutchess_III's avatar

No. But I like it.

TJBM is ready to chase fireflies.

Patty_Melt's avatar

Yes!
TJBM has been meeting more new people than usual, lately.

SnipSnip's avatar

Can’t say that’s true other than clients.

TJBM has dinner in the crock pot.

Dutchess_III's avatar

Not today. But got the fixins for a roast.

TJBM is really tired of not having a spring.

JLeslie's avatar

Spring sprang here almost two months ago. It’s been cooler than usual the last couple of months, but that still means overall it’s been beautiful. We actually had a few 90 degree days the last couple of weeks, a little too hot.

TJBM has traveled to the country or countries where their family is from if it is other than the country they live in.

Mimishu1995's avatar

That has never happened, because my extended family all live in the same country as me.

TJBM wishes they could travel to another country.

Dutchess_III's avatar

I do. But I can’t afford it.

TJBM is glad the don’t have only half a body.

SnipSnip's avatar

Uhmmm, well, yes. Yes I am.

TJBM has a memory of eating clams.

Tropical_Willie's avatar

Clams, oysters, abalone, opihi, mussels and barnacles too !

TJBM has a favorite quick snack.

Brian1946's avatar

True. I love organic green grapes. Because they’re organic, I don’t bother washing them.

TJBM has avoided hitting an animal crossing the road.

snowberry's avatar

Sure!

TJBM has very short toes.

Dutchess_III's avatar

No. All of me is long.

TJBM is glad it’s the weekend.

snowberry's avatar

Nope. Makes no difference to me at all.

TJBM is a pizza freak. Tell us your favorite pizza.

Patty_Melt's avatar

I can’t get my favorite pizza anymore. Pizza Hut used to have a BBQ beef pan pizza that was good enough to kill for. It was available at only certain locations, so I had to drive forty minutes to the town where I could get them. Aarrrgh! I could go for one right now.
When my first baby was born, it was a hospital that let new moms order pizza delivery right after their own delivery. I had pepperoni on mine. It was the last delivery of the night. I almost didn’t get to have it, but my delivery partner explained why he was calling so close to closing time, and they agreed to make one last pizza. :-p

TJBM knows what time they were born.

Dutchess_III's avatar

Some time on July 24th.

TJBM is HUNGRY!!

Mimishu1995's avatar

No, I just ate.

TJBM can suggest a fun activity to do to relieve sadness.

SnipSnip's avatar

Sex

TJBM slept way too much last night.

JLeslie's avatar

Not enough. It’s 2:25pm now, and I just sat down and I’m thinking I might try for a nap to catch up.

TJBM doesn’t like pancakes.

Dutchess_III's avatar

I LOVE pancakes. I just wish I could eat them the way I could when I was a kid….endlessly.

TJBM can’t eat as much as they used to.

Patty_Melt's avatar

Ugh! I used to eat like runway models. Now I can’t stop!

TJBM is in the mood to howl ”PANCAKES” at the top of their lungs.

SnipSnip's avatar

Well, that just isn’t so.

TJBM has watched a movie lately that keeps infiltrating his or her thoughts.

Brian1946's avatar

No. I think the last movie having that effect on me was “The Exorcist”.

TJBM knows what drink is also called “the devil’s wine”.

Mimishu1995's avatar

Red wine, because it’s as red as the devil?
TJBM knows the answer.

tedibear's avatar

Nope, I don’t know.

TJBM will tell us their favorite book series.

Dutchess_III's avatar

The Black Stallion.

It’s a beautiful day where TJBM lives.

Brian1946's avatar

The “devil’s wine” is another name for champagne. Long ago in Frenchland (17th century?), some bottled wine accidentally underwent secondary fermentation. This caused the cork to explode from the bottle with a loud POP, and they thought ‘twas the work of the Devil!

It’s sunny and warm, but I’d much rather have about 2” of rain with highs in the 50’s.

TJBM would never eat at Westboro Baptist Church’s chicken. ;)

SnipSnip's avatar

I don’t think we have one here where I live, but chances are slim as I don’t like to take meals away from home or trusted friend/family homes.

TJBM is on hold with the speaker-phone playing horrible music for his or her enjoyment.

Dutchess_III's avatar

Lol! No.

TJBM just found out the Anasazi Indians were actual cannibals, and not just token cannibals.

SnipSnip's avatar

Well, no, I haven’t yet made that discovery. :)

TJBM would be a little embarrassed to admit how much of one product they have in their inventory. [I’m laughing about how much water I have bought just in case.]

JLeslie's avatar

I can’t think of anything. Maybe clothes that no longer fit me. I’ve whittled the collection down over the last couple of years, but still not enough.

TJBM uses curbside pick-up for lots of things.

SnipSnip's avatar

No, but I recently used it twice and found it great for heavy items like water. I only had to move from my car into the house.

Dutchess_III's avatar

Knock knock

Strauss's avatar

Who’s there?

TJBM will tell me who’s there.

Tropical_Willie's avatar

Orange
Aren’t you like you asked.

TJBM Was waiting for a package todAy, mine came at 2;15 PM.

Dutchess_III's avatar

No. Mine is coming May 25 – 27. It’s a garbage disposal. When it comes Rick can plumb the water to the kitchen.

TJBM likes kids.

JLeslie's avatar

I do! If there are kids in the room I’m one of the adults who wants to engage with them and see what clever things they come up with, and I like to entertain them.

TJBM can count to ten in more than one language.

SnipSnip's avatar

I can indeed. German. I also know all of the dirty words in Italian. That’s it for me and foreign languages. I get along just fine in Europe though. :)

TJBM can see changes in their body due to aging that they would like to put off for a while.

JLeslie's avatar

Yes, I can.

TJBM served in the military.

Brian1946's avatar

True- USN, never again!

TJBM will name a foreign country where they’ve either lived or visited.

Mimishu1995's avatar

Um… Thailand?
TJBM has been to a country expecting it to be different only to realize it isn’t so different from home.

Forever_Free's avatar

Yes. But then I realized i was really at home and never left

TJBM listens to a specific PodCast religiously.

SnipSnip's avatar

I have never listened to a podcast.

TJBM retained some textbooks from higher education and finds them useful from time to time.

JLeslie's avatar

Yes. A nutrition book that I referred back to many times for many many years. I also have a History of Art text book that I love, but I don’t open it very often.

TJBM doesn’t have a passport.

Tropical_Willie's avatar

Had one for thirty years. Business and vacations !

TJBM wants to go some where different for a change.

JLeslie's avatar

I don’t know if it’s different, but I’d like to spend a few months in Europe, maybe Italy or Spain. Do a house swap so it’s not expensive. In a picturesque place. I don’t see it happening any time soon. Maybe a short vacation closer by can be had though. Not sure where to go.

TJBM prefers Cool Whip over Whipped Cream.

tedibear's avatar

No. I had both growing up, and always preferred whipped cream. I had Cool Whip a few years ago after a long time not having it. The Cool Whip did not taste right to me.

TJBM has recently colored their hair.

Tropical_Willie's avatar

WHAT hair.

TJBM has favorite recipe for boneless pork chops and will share!

JLeslie's avatar

Light dusting of Goya Adobe seasoning (I get the green one) plus a little salt then dip in egg and then Progresso Italian breadcrumbs. Some oil in a pan, and cook up the pork chops, medium to medium-high heat, not too hot because you will burn the breading before the chops are cooked through. I use very little of Goya, because the green has cumin, and I am not a big fan of cumin, but a little is good. Also, if the chops are very thick it won’t work well, because the breading could burn before they are cooked through.

TJBM Whitens their teeth.

snowberry's avatar

Toothpaste and regular visits to the dentist are sufficient for me.

TJBM has had to repair their phone before.

Patty_Melt's avatar

Yes, but nothing major.
TJBM will ask a question which calls for a story to answer. First, they will impart their own answer to the question.

Mimishu1995's avatar

I will. But I’m in the process of writing a story :P I think I have to put off the story for a bit until I finish it.

The question is: what is the most bizarre scenario where two people who should be enemies become friend?

TJBM has an answer.

SnipSnip's avatar

There are plenty of those from the Civil War.

TJBM doesn’t leave home without a bag.

Patty_Melt's avatar

A war goes worldwide. Eventually, the human race is so wiped out, no one survivor knows if they are the only one. Devastation is everywhere. As with tornadoes, entire towns or neighborhoods might be wiped out, but a single home, or business was left unharmed. Bodies decomposed in piles where they fell. The attacks had been universal in location, as well as in type. There had been nukes, air attacks, booby traps, face to face attacks, and land roving weapons. Ships attacked other ships. People who tried to transfer funds to accounts they planned to use later were stabbed, shot, and tortured to death where they sat.
As a man named Steven foraged for what he could use for survival in the city where he has lived his whole life except during college, he staggered under the weight of his grief. The stench of death was inescapable, so considering food sources was almost impossible. Suddenly, a person who looked dead began to stir, and moan. Steven recognized him. He had seen him raping his daughter, but when he had tried to rescue her, the man shot her before he withdrew, then pointed the weapon at Steven. Steven ran to escape death, feeling the weight of a father’s guilt as he sought safety. Now he watched terror wrench the man’s face as he saw Steven approach him. The injured man held up a canvas military bag which had a shoulder strap hanging from it. The man spoke a language Steven did not know, and he urged Steven to take the bag. Not knowing why, Steven took the bag, and looked inside. There was unharmed fresh fruit. The man was trying to buy his life with a bag of produce.

Steven flung the strap over his shoulder, and with no good reason, helped his enemy to his feet. Together they stumbled along, seeking a good shelter.

After hours of stumbling between rotting corpses, they found a Pizza Hut mostly intact. Steven left the stranger who could not speak the same language on top of a table. He then searched for things to tend the man’s wounds. All the while, his ears searched for voices.

When he returned to where he had left his enemy, Steven saw that I the man had gotten off the table, and found a reasonably clean ceramic plate to place out his fruit.
Steven hated this man; wanted him to suffer, but hated even more the idea of dying alone. He hoped to find other survivors, so he could feel enabled to kill the monster he was helping.

TJBM will continue my story, keeping in mind the specifications set forth by TJAM and TJAH.

Patty_Melt's avatar

ignore the jelly who jumped in on me and completely ignored etiquette and the specifics.

Strauss's avatar

It’s getting too long to load.

TJBM will go to “this“https://i.fluther.com/231783/who-would-like-to-play-tjbm/ thread to continue

SnipSnip's avatar

Sure I will.

TJBM will not.

Dutchess_III's avatar

I would but the link isn’t live.

TJBM is willing to pay big bucks for a dog.

SnipSnip's avatar

It worked for me. But no, I wouldn’t pay $1 for a dog. I wouldn’t take a free dog. We don’t allow pets in my community.

TJBM did have success going to 231783

Patty_Melt's avatar

Well, fuck this. TJBM used to be fun. I don’t know why some people took my starting a new one as some sort of attack, but snippy kept jumping in with the intent of just always saying no about everything.
I paid attention to stipulations made, and wrote a story as was requested. Snippy jumped in on me and did the asinine thing of not answering what was asked for. Now half the group regurgitated all over my attempt to resurrect a game I used to enjoy.
I have no desire to hang with people who make an effort to wreck fun others are trying to have.

TJBM will FOAD.

Mimishu1995's avatar

I’m not sure what FOAD is, but I’d say we shouldn’t let some bad apples spoil the brunch. From now on let’s continue the game like usual, and ignore the bad apples and just focus on the people who want to play :)
TJBM likes to have fun.

Patty_Melt's avatar

I love fun. I also enjoy pranks. I am living in a situation right now which doesn’t allow for much fun. I am thinking of what can I put in the elevator which would not be dangerous, but would be weird enough to make people think, “what the heck?!?
FOAD is something unpleasant. I want your answer to it to be, “nope.”

TJBM knows what the expression ants in your pants refers to, and will explain.
I miss Coloma on these threads. She often had very cool answers.

JLeslie's avatar

Ants in your pants means you’re restless or impatient. Can’t sit still.

—I tried to get Coloma to come back and for the mods to reconsider, but the mods won’t just do it because I asked, they need Coloma to ask to come back. I’m STILL angry she was banned.— (I guess my whisper doesn’t work on my phone)

TJBM has cried listening and watching reporting about the Texas school shooting.

Patty_Melt's avatar

I am haunted by, but also proud of Miah, who stayed in survival mode so well.
How frightened does a girl have to be to choose to smear a dead friend’s blood on herself to be convincing as already dead?
SMH, how much control it must require to be one of the parents, and not attempt to kill the cop who ordered officers to not advance, while kids begged on 911 to be rescued.

TJBM has places to go and people to see.

Tropical_Willie's avatar

Leaving right now ! !

TJBM made a big pot of fresh ground coffee this morning.

SnipSnip's avatar

We make coffee one cup at a time….and not in a Keurig. But yes, coffee is part of every morning, afternoon, and evening around here.

TJBM hated high school.

snowberry's avatar

There were some positives, but I sure was glad to get it over with! However it wasn’t as bad as elementary school.

TJBM will tell us a positive thing about their school days.

SnipSnip's avatar

In elementary school there was a snow cone stand set up a couple times per week at end of day. We could buy a snow cone for almost nothing. We looked forward to it.

TJBM will also share a positive thing about school days.

Strauss's avatar

When I was in 1st grade (wa-a-y back in the middle of the last century) I walked to the other side of town to go to school. My dog would be with me (small-town, no leash law). I never saw him at recess, but he would be waiting for me when it was time to go home.

TJBM thinks I might have exaggerated that memory.

JLeslie's avatar

I have no idea if it’s exaggerated, but I liked it. Did you ever see the movie Hachi? Or, might be Hachiko. A true story about a dog and his owner. Richard Gear starred in it.

TJBM Keeps their house very tidy. Nothing out of place.

Dutchess_III's avatar

My house is complete wreck. I DID get a counter top in today though.

TJBM is pissed because the can’t do all the things they used to do.

JLeslie's avatar

I haven’t used the word pissed to describe it, but I don’t mind using it. I think I’m more frustrated and mildly worried that it will get worse quickly.

TJBM has been watching the show Tehran.

tedibear's avatar

I have not, but now I will check it out.

TJBM will share some life advice with us.

JLeslie's avatar

If your spouse (or anyone you live with) hates doing something, like some particular chore, and you don’t hate it, just do it. I hate unloading the dishwasher and a lot of the time my husband does it for me. Makes me happy.

TJBM is wearing red white and blue this weekend for the US Memorial Day holiday.

Tropical_Willie's avatar

Well close; red suspenders, light blue t-shirt and white shorts.

TJBM is going to have hot dogs and hamburgers for Memorial Day.

JLeslie's avatar

I have no idea. I’m invited to a friend’s house and I don’t know what they are cooking.

TJBM uses coupons at the grocery store and other places.

Strauss's avatar

Yes…including digital coupons.

TJBM is experiencing unusual flatulence.

Patty_Melt's avatar

Well, unusual compared to other people, or compared to myself?
Let’s say, an uncomfortable level. When a stopwatch could come into play, it seems wrong.
:-p

TJBM would have a list ready, if the movie Purge became reality. (I have you on my mind, guy who stole years of work and the long awaited goodies I allowed myself after years of sacrifice.)

SnipSnip's avatar

No idea what you’re talking about. However,

TJBM does.

Dutchess_III's avatar

No clue what “The Purge” is.

TJBM likes watching the birds in their yard.

JLeslie's avatar

Yes I do! Lots of cardinals lately.

TJBM has taken cooking classes as an adult.

Strauss's avatar

If you count learning recipes while training for a cook position in a restaurant, then yes.

TJBM has taken music classes or lessons as an adult.

Dutchess_III's avatar

Well….a fun “music” lesson for elementary kids. Basically trained us for substitute teaching.

TJBM has had guns trained on them by then cops before.

Mimishu1995's avatar

Like practicing with guns? Nah, I don’t even know what kind of gun the police use. The only time when I was closest to seeing a gun was during my military training and even then I suspect that gun was a fake.

TJBM knows what it’s like to live without knowing about guns.

Dutchess_III's avatar

I was at a riot. When I tried to leave, about 5 cops leveled their rifles at me. I went back from wence I came! Took a long time to get home.

TJBM loves most kids.

SnipSnip's avatar

I try to love everyone but often fail. Children are our innocents and charges. Parenting is the hardest job in this world but loving your children is easy. When speaking of children as a whole, such as “I just love kids and want to spend my days teaching and interacting with them,” no…..I am not that person.

TJBM has hats and wears them.

Dutchess_III's avatar

Rarely.

TJBM just found out someone is getting married.

Nomore_Tantrums's avatar

Nope. And no weddings in the near future for anyone in my own clan. Albeit my grandsons have more S/Os than Frank Sinatra. TJBM hates attending weddings.

Dutchess_III's avatar

Kinda. I don’t know how formal it will be.

Mimishu1995's avatar

TJBM has come to the age when they forget things.

SnipSnip's avatar

What age might that be? At what age do we not forget things?

TJBM has twins in their family.

Dutchess_III's avatar

Touche @Mimishu1995!

Yes. Twin grandbabies.

TJBM feels men are too violent.

SnipSnip's avatar

No, I don’t agree with such generalization.

TJBM has been to the Ark Encounter.

Dutchess_III's avatar

No I haven’t.

TJBM is watching the Roots remake.

Strauss's avatar

Not yet.

TJBM hears the word “remake” and asks “why?”

Although it is sometimes obvious why!

Nomore_Tantrums's avatar

Not into remakes, always disappointed. TJBM has an old theatre being restored / renovated in their community.

Mimishu1995's avatar

There is only one theater in my city. But have anyone come there in ages? They did some renovation here and there, but no one has ever noticed.

TJBM is going less and less to a place.

Nomore_Tantrums's avatar

Yeah, work. Was stepping it up on hours but sick as a dog today. Will see what tomorrow brings. Was out sick a few days last week as well. TJBM is in good health.

SnipSnip's avatar

I am. I just picked up my labs and everything seems to be perfect. Happy about that.

TJBM is trying to get out of a big family thing.

Strauss's avatar

Actually, just the opposite. Getting ready to meet my newly-found adult daughter and granddaughter later this month.

TJBM has a family thing coming up

Dutchess_III's avatar

I guess so. My middle daughter is getting married in a couple of weeks.

TJBM worked pretty hard outside today.

JLeslie's avatar

Not today. Sometimes I work a little in the garden, but I don’t last more than 45 minutes usually.

TJBM Will tell us their favorite fruit.

Nomore_Tantrums's avatar

Oranges. Can’t beat ‘em with a stick. TJBM likes all fruits.

JLeslie's avatar

Nope. I like more as an adult than when I was a kid, but there are still a lot of fruits I don’t like.

TJBM has never been outside of their own country.

SnipSnip's avatar

No, we’ve spent time in quite a lot of countries.

TJBM likes to cruise but will not fly.

Nomore_Tantrums's avatar

I don’t like either one. TJBM likes road trips on their own family vehicle.

Dutchess_III's avatar

Ugh. I would if I could trust the driver.

TJBM got their yard cleaned up today, mostly by slavelets.

Nomore_Tantrums's avatar

My slavelets refuse to work. We do our own yard cleanup, until it’s Paw Paw Nanna let me use your phone or lap top time. TJBM is exhausted and ready to crash.

JLeslie's avatar

Not yet. It’s past midnight and I’m just starting to feel tired. My hours are all messed up.

TJBM never wear slippers.

Forever_Free's avatar

Correct. Bare feet are best.

TJBM had a bear visit their property this week

Nomore_Tantrums's avatar

No, but we did have visitors in the form of two young deer, who were deinking out of the back yard kiddie pool. TJBM often has deer in their yard.

Strauss's avatar

Never in the yard. More likely raccoons or an occasional skunk. Most undomesticated critters avoid the dog’s domain.

TJBM has wildlife in their yard or neighborhood.

SnipSnip's avatar

We have fox, squirrels, rabbits, snakes, coastal birds, an occasional bear or bobcat, and alligators and lots of manatee in the canal that is my back yard. I’ve never personally had a bear in my yard but I’ve seen them from my window nearby.

tedibear's avatar

@SnipSnip didn’t give us a TJBM, so I will answer @Strauss too.

Yes, we have wildlife. The coolest bird we have is a pileated woodpecker. Today, we had a doe and a fawn walk through our front yard. The fawn still has its spots. :) We have rabbits, skunks, possums, squirrels, chipmunks, and bats regularly.

TJBM enjoys grocery shopping.

Brian1946's avatar

I enjoy it when I find items that I eagerly anticipate consuming, and/or when they have everything I want/need.

TJBM has a Platonic crush on someone. If so, whom?

Nomore_Tantrums's avatar

Those days are long over for me. Had a few in the day, but they always went south on me when the girl / woman started talking marriage out of the blue. TJBM has read an interesting biography recently.

SnipSnip's avatar

I haven’t but the one in queue has been in queue for about eight years…..Clapton.

TJBM hasn’t waited as long as me.

Mimishu1995's avatar

Now that you mention it @Nomore, I realize that I haven’t read biographies for a long time. Not that I read biographies anyway. The only biography I read was Darkness Visible, a biography about depression, but that was because I was interested in depression, not the man himself.

TJBM avoids a particular genre of books.

SnipSnip's avatar

I avoid quite a few genres of books.

TJBM has learned a lot from a film or series lately.

Dutchess_III's avatar

Books, mostly. But not anything I didn’t already know.

TJBM has been reading about WWII.

SnipSnip's avatar

I haven’t.

TJBM loves cold showers.

Nomore_Tantrums's avatar

No, I’d rather die. TJBM is into muscle cars.

Dutchess_III's avatar

No.

TJBM is into muscle horses.

Nomore_Tantrums's avatar

A horse is a horse. Of course, of course. TJBM is experiencing some nice weather today.

Dutchess_III's avatar

Oh it was really nice.

TJBM is so totally ready for things to get back to normal.

Nomore_Tantrums's avatar

If they ever do get back to normal. And I ain’t just talking Covid. TJBM says, stop the world I wanna get off.

SnipSnip's avatar

NO, that wasn’t me! :)

TJBM recently bought a beautiful leather item.

JLeslie's avatar

No, I rarely buy anything leather anymore, except for shoes sometimes. I would love to fit back into a pair of leather pants that I have hanging in my closet.

TJBM is planning a vacation.

Dutchess_III's avatar

@SnipSnip I have this on order.

I can’t afford a vacation.

TJBM is enjoying the fact that they have running water in their kitchen.

Nomore_Tantrums's avatar

No big deal to me. Who doesn’t have running water these days? TJBM is watching “Twister”.

tedibear's avatar

I am not, but saw it four times in the theater. My ex and I loved that movie. The last three times we saw it, we sat in the front row. This was in an old-style cinema with a large screen.

TJBM knows what to do with rambutan and will tell us about it.

SnipSnip's avatar

@Dutchess_III Very nice. :)

SnipSnip's avatar

Rambutan is too ugly to eat, so I don’t what else one might do with it.

TJBM will never buy another brand new car….not because they can’t afford it though.

Nomore_Tantrums's avatar

Probably not. I have two as it is, both paid for. No more payments for me. TJBM sometimes has “foot in mouth syndrome”.

Mimishu1995's avatar

Yeah, sometimes. And I wish I could get over it, but maybe that’s really a syndrome like you said.

TJBM feels like being alone sometimes.

JLeslie's avatar

Absolutely. When I was younger I didn’t enjoy being alone very much, but now I do. Set the temperature in the house where I want, leave a dish in sink, watch what I want on TV, and fluther if I feel like it.

TJBM Went swimming today.

SnipSnip's avatar

@JLeslie Forgot something?

This jelly and the one below me has done the same thing. :)

Mimishu1995's avatar

I haven’t swum for a very long time. I don’t go to the beach anymore. If I was pushed into the water I’m pretty sure I would die.

TJBM didn’t forget anything today.

SnipSnip's avatar

I didn’t.

TJBM has had his or her face painted…perhaps other body parts too.

Dutchess_III's avatar

I have, but back when I could rock it. In other words, not recently..

TJBM took a shower today!!!!

SnipSnip's avatar

Yes; I take at least one each day. An additional one happens more days than not. If I sweat at all I want to shower.

TJBM thinks its time to re-evaluate all of those supplements he/she takes each day.

Nomore_Tantrums's avatar

I don’t take that crap, I’m gonna die anyway. All I take is high blood pressure medicine and pills for my stomach acid reflex annoyance. TJBM is tired of unsolicited friend request crap on Face Book.

JLeslie's avatar

Good God yes!

TJBM likes water parks with water slides and lazy rivers.

Nomore_Tantrums's avatar

I like a real lazy river, not parks so much. Wife and I used to do a lot of tubing on local rivers, back when we didn’t look obscene with few clothes on. TJBM does not like getting in water.

Dutchess_III's avatar

False. I love getting in water. I’m a Weekee Watchie Mermaid, remember?

TJBM is not what they seem to be.

Nomore_Tantrums's avatar

Oh yeah, the Mermaid Girl! Well, if brains were dynamite, I probably couldn’t blow my nose. Actually, I am, and probably a damn site worse. What folks see is what they get. But at least I’m not as political as my Sis. TJBM is tired of opinionated people.

Mimishu1995's avatar

True. People who are desperate to win an argument. There has been too much unnecessary drama just because people can’t admit that they are wrong.

TJBM is curious about @Dutchess’s story.

Nomore_Tantrums's avatar

I try not to pry into people’s lives, if they want me to know something they’ll tell me. TJBM is about to go to the land of Nod.

Dutchess_III's avatar

Nope. I’m up watching a thing called “So Expensive.”

TJBM is kind of excited about some thing they received from Amazon today.

SnipSnip's avatar

I’m excited about something I received, but not from Amazon.

TJBM needs to wash his or her vehicle.

Strauss's avatar

Not me. But my daughter’s dark colored vehicle is covered with yellow pollen.

TJBM is always glad to see pollinators

JLeslie's avatar

No! Bees love to sting me. I have at times removed flowering plants from my yard if a house I purchased had them. Butterflies are fine, but I don’t think they move around the pollen as much as bees.

TJBM wants to lost weight, but just can’t buckle down and do it.

Dutchess_III's avatar

Nah. I’m good. Happy where I’m at and maintaining it.

TJBM is allergic to stuff.

Nomore_Tantrums's avatar

Cedar pollen, yeah. But it goes with the territory living in Cen-Tex. TJBM has no allergies.

Dutchess_III's avatar

I do not, except to poison ivy, which I’m rarely around.

TJBM is going to learn Spanish.

Nomore_Tantrums's avatar

Would like to, but I never was able to grasp a foreign language. TJBM is tired today.

Dutchess_III's avatar

Yes. Was up early.

TJBM Doesn’t think beauty products do much.

Strauss's avatar

Never used them much except for standard grooming, as in shampoo, conditioner, bath soap, etc. However, I did use Noxema® for acne control as a teen.

TJBM has a daily routine.

Nomore_Tantrums's avatar

Yeah, forking over money to my grandkids. Just gave $20.00 to my 13-year-old granddaughter for foundation make up, whatever the hell that is. It’s OK though, TJBM says Charity begins at home.

Dutchess_III's avatar

Well, yes, as long as it doesn’t create a leach.

TJBM wonders what camel milk tastes like.

Nomore_Tantrums's avatar

No, I think I would die of thirst first. TJBM says, I’ll pass on the camel milk, as well.

SnipSnip's avatar

Darn straight!

TJBM is going all in on crypto currency.

Dutchess_III's avatar

I don’t even know what that is.

Strauss's avatar

nudge-nudge

Dutchess_III's avatar

Oh hell.

TJBM has had an exhausting day dealing with Mexicans.

JLeslie's avatar

Just one. My husband is stressing me out and upsetting me.

TJBM prefers regular denim jeans to stretchy ones.

Nomore_Tantrums's avatar

I just wear Wranglers. TJBM is watching the Late Show.

Strauss's avatar

No, just had a shower. Off to bed now.

TJBM will dream sweet dreams for me!

SnipSnip's avatar

I don’t think so.

TJBM has had an experience with ants.

JLeslie's avatar

Yes, I do. Do you mean getting rid of them? Here in Florida we build our houses on top of the ants’ houses. If you need to prevent ants don’t leave any food out on the counter. Some ants really like sugar, others like grease.

If you already have ants, the lawn granules are like magic, they really work to collapse an ant nest. I have used it indoors too, but I’m guessing that’s not recommended and I wouldn’t use it if you have a pet that could walk through it. So, if you use it inside use at your own risk but I just put a small amount down where I know the ants are, add a little water, wait three days, and then I clean it all up. There are also indoor products that are drops that are supposed to take the poison back to the nest, but it never worked as well for me.

Spraying the house won’t work very well, because the ants in the nest below ground don’t get touched by the stuff.

You might be able to avoid using poisons altogether in your house if you see exactly where the ants are coming, sometimes it’s an opening where caulk isn’t sealed well, and if you seal it up they can’t get in.

TJBM watched the first episode of the Jan 6 hearings.

Strauss's avatar

Here and there. In addition to the statements and testimony, I found Officer Dunn’s Tshirt extremely poignant.

TJBM has experienced input overload.

Dutchess_III's avatar

Oh yes. As a teacher in a classroom with 32 kids in it.

TJBM is making major changes to their house.

SnipSnip's avatar

We did a total reno six years ago. It’s still like new.

TJBM has experienced being on a championship team.

Strauss's avatar

Since a competetive marching band operates as a team, yes.

TJBM has received free food from a food pantry.

Nomore_Tantrums's avatar

Yes, years ago when we first got married, and my wife had a baby girl from a previous relationship that soured on her. We didn’t like doing it, but babies come first. TJBM knows that when you take things like that on it’s for the long haul, for better or worse.

Strauss's avatar

Yes. Competition Marching Band. National Championship 1971!

TJBM has received food from a free food pantry.

Dutchess_III's avatar

No. Never had to. When I was desperately poor we got food stamps.

TJBM has donated to food pantries.

SnipSnip's avatar

Yes, we have.

TJBM owns a boat.

Nomore_Tantrums's avatar

Nope. Got a nice bass boat inherited from dad after he passed but sold it years ago. Never really used it. TJBM says fuel costs are too much for boating these days.

Dutchess_III's avatar

No I don’t say that. We have a pontoon boat we’ll be taking out, come hell or high water. High water would be best.

TJBM has paddled a boat through a flooded town.

SnipSnip's avatar

No, thank goodness.

TJBM enjoys sailing, water skiing, and other water activities.

Dutchess_III's avatar

Oh I used to! All I can do now is watch.

TJBM loves NOVA documentaries.

Nomore_Tantrums's avatar

I do, great stuff. TJBM is enduring a hot spell. 105F today in Cen-Tex.

Mimishu1995's avatar

TJBM is too caught up with the heat they forgets things.

Dutchess_III's avatar

I forget things without the heat.

TJBM has a dog who stares at them when they’re eating

Nomore_Tantrums's avatar

At one time we did, but she passed away years ago. TJBM feeds table scraps to their pet.

Brian1946's avatar

Nope. Some human foods can be toxic or even fatal to some pets.

TJBM has or had an herbivorous pet.

SnipSnip's avatar

My kids did.

TJBM has just reconnected with someone from their past.

Nomore_Tantrums's avatar

No, fortunately. Saw an old girlfriend HEB the other day, but I pretended I didnt recognize her and got out of there fast. Every time that happens, I catch crap about stuff that happened 50 frigging years ago, screw all that. TJBM had a good breakfast this morning.

Strauss's avatar

Bacon eggs & English muffin..

TJBM had a good lunch today.

Nomore_Tantrums's avatar

Meh, grilled cheese sandwich, OK I suppose. TJBM is taking it easy today.

SnipSnip's avatar

I was up until 5am and then slept enough hours but I still feel groggy. Yes, taking it easy today.

TJBM captured an interesting photo lately.

Dutchess_III's avatar

IDK!

TJBM hates coffee.

Nomore_Tantrums's avatar

I love coffee! TJBM is a coffee fanatic as well. Best part of waking up is coffee in your cup!

Dutchess_III's avatar

No. No coffee. Just makes me jittery and I don’t like that.

TJBM has the strangest grandkids in the world!

SnipSnip's avatar

That’s one way of putting it.

TJBM hates overhead ceiling lights, opting for floor and table lamps.

Nomore_Tantrums's avatar

(I do have some odd ones, grands that is). No, I don’t hate overhead lights. I do prefer a table lamp for reading though. TJBM enjoys reading into the night.

Dutchess_III's avatar

I used to. Now I just go through the night.

TJBM has been wrongfully terminated in their life

Nomore_Tantrums's avatar

Not that I can remember. TJBM is taking a brief rest from politics.

SnipSnip's avatar

I stay informed but am not addicted.

TJBM still uses a fax machine.

Nomore_Tantrums's avatar

Never have used one. TJBM is an early bird today.

Dutchess_III's avatar

Well. If you can call 10 am early.

TJBM woke up to a bull dozer dozing about in their yard.

SnipSnip's avatar

Nope

TJBM just got disturbing news.

Mimishu1995's avatar

Yes. A psycho that I have long moved on from is trying to contact me again. I ignored all her messaging and calls but she just came to my house uninvited. I really want her out of my life.

TJBM has dealt with psychos before.

Nomore_Tantrums's avatar

I have to watch my mouth in
mixed company. But I guess if a woman who can hold a grudge over some relationship that went south almost 50 years ago is psycho, then yes I have had to deal with some. How do you remember someone that long anyway? TJBM had a good Brunch at a diner today.

Dutchess_III's avatar

Haven eaten yet today.

TJBM knows what a sunshine cake is.

Nomore_Tantrums's avatar

Nope but pictures of one look delish. ; ) TJBM is tired of dealing with various and sundry bull crap.

Dutchess_III's avatar

True. Frustrating.

TJBM woke up to a bull dozer dozing in their yard.

Nomore_Tantrums's avatar

No. I’d tell them to come back later, catch me on the flip flop, sayonara. TJBM is more tired than usual today.

tedibear's avatar

Yes, though it is mental exhaustion, not physical.

TJBM has a pair of lucky socks.

Nomore_Tantrums's avatar

No, but I do have my lucky t shirt. My wife bought it for me, and I wear it every day if I can. Until she decides it’s time for me to change. I never had much dress sense anyway, point taken. TJBM enjoys life with their S/O.

Strauss's avatar

Absolutely! Due to certain medical issues we are even more dependent upon each other.

TJBM is cooking.

SnipSnip's avatar

Oh no. It’s 1:25 am and I’m having a cup of ice cream.

TJBM will cook for us tonight. ;)

Strauss's avatar

Probably, if you’re here!

TJBM will be here tonight.

Nomore_Tantrums's avatar

Perhaps, perhaps not. TJBM has reading to catch up on.

SnipSnip's avatar

That’s an understatement.

TJBM types and uses a calculator without the need of looking at either.

Strauss's avatar

Used to do that really well. Two factors that lessen my ability: Lack of practice (not using those skills everyday now that I’m retired) and neuropathy in my left hand.

TJBM has had a life changing experience.

Dutchess_III's avatar

Yeah. Covid.

TJBM is still recovering from COVID.

SnipSnip's avatar

Not me, thank goodness.

TJBM needs to buy an umbrella.

Dutchess_III's avatar

Nah. I don’t melt in the rain.

TJBM has read Maus I & II.

SnipSnip's avatar

Nope. Did you enjoy it?

TJBM is enjoying rain today.

Nomore_Tantrums's avatar

I wish, not a drop in three weeks. TJBM is tired of rain though.

SnipSnip's avatar

We get it most every afternoon in the summertime. I love it.

TJBM needs to make a doctor appointment.

Nomore_Tantrums's avatar

Badly. Can’t afford a doctor. TJBM has good insurance.

tedibear's avatar

Yes, we do. It’s a privilege I am grateful for, though I do wish the U.S. would get their poop in a pile with universal healthcare.

TJBM will tell us about the birds that come to their feeders.

SnipSnip's avatar

What feeders?

TJBM is planning to go to Willie’s picnic this year.

Tropical_Willie's avatar

I’‘ll there just remember it is potluck, bring a dish that will serve 8.

TJBM has a favorite potluck dish to bring.

Strauss's avatar

Potato Salad. Everyone loves potato salad.

TJBM loves potato salad.

Mimishu1995's avatar

I love all salads! It’s actually something people get wrong about me. I don’t know why people think I’m not into vegetables.
TJBM has eaten an unusual kind of salad.

SnipSnip's avatar

We had potato salad in Germany and it was delicious, but it was a warm potato dish made with bacon. That was unusual to us.

TJBM is able to see humor where it is even in the face of disaster.

Strauss's avatar

Yes, and it’s something that really annoys my wife, who doesn’t seem to have said ability.

TJBM has had a positive family experience recently.

SnipSnip's avatar

Yes indeed.

TJBM takes care to get enough of the many nutrients and minerals our bodies need.

Mimishu1995's avatar

I think so. I have never got sick for lacking nutrients.

TJBM knows of an unusual but nutritious dish.

SnipSnip's avatar

I do.

TJBM forbids anyone touch certain belongings or enter certain spaces.

Nomore_Tantrums's avatar

With grand children around? Good luck with that. TJBM is burned out on summer already.

Dutchess_III's avatar

Not yet. We have yet to go in our pontoon boat.

TJBM recently had a fast food place completely mess up their order. Sonic’s chili cheese toys are totally nasty! I would have never, ever ordered them, and they gave us THREE of them.

Nomore_Tantrums's avatar

Yes. Ordered two breakfast burritos from MickyDs last week and got three instead. Didn’t notice until I got home. TJBM is tired of fast food places.

Dutchess_III's avatar

Not tired. Wish I had easier access to them.

TJBM wishes McDs would go back to breakfast all day.

Nomore_Tantrums's avatar

Absolutely, it was always the best thing on their menu. TJBM is angry about that Supreme Court decision.

Dutchess_III's avatar

Yes I am angry.

TJBM is a firm Democrat

Nomore_Tantrums's avatar

From the cradle. Almost. TJBM has never voted Republican and never will.

Brian1946's avatar

So true- the furthest right I’ve ever voted is Democrat.

TJBM lives in a state, where women still and most likely will continue to have reproductive freedom.

Dutchess_III's avatar

She does. For now.

TJBM will never have to deal with pregnancy, accidental or otherwise.

SnipSnip's avatar

Never again. I have a lovely family.

TJBM regularly attends a worship service.

Dutchess_III's avatar

No. Unless you count sitting on my porch admiring the flora and the fauna as a worship service.

TJBM has a robin who yells at them every morning.

SnipSnip's avatar

No. I rarely hear birds singing where I now live.

TJBM can hear a train in the distance at certain time each day….and loves it.

Dutchess_III's avatar

Not around here.

TJBM is happy summer is here.

Nomore_Tantrums's avatar

I was at first, now I’m ready for fall again. TJBM is dragged out.

SnipSnip's avatar

No never. The winter here is hotter than I wish; the summers are awfully hot. The temp is the only seasonal change we see and it is slight. It’s the thing I most dislike about South Florida.

TJBM has experienced having high or low potassium.

Dutchess_III's avatar

I have. Thst and low sodium. Wound up in the hospital for a week.

TJBM will share the dumbest reason they went to the Dr. or the ER.

Nomore_Tantrums's avatar

About four years ago, almost had a stroke because I hadn’t been taking my blood pressure meds. No excuse, just dumbassery. Never again. TJBM does not like discussing hospital stays.

SnipSnip's avatar

I don’t like experiencing inpatient vacations. At all.

TJBM has found a new activity he or she is enjoying and feel like it is beneficial in some way.

Nomore_Tantrums's avatar

Not new, just restarted. Walks in the neighborhood, good exercise for an oldster like me. TJBM is a jogger.

Dutchess_III's avatar

Oh no. No jogger. Men would be gawking at my boobs and I would hate that.

TJBM is waiting for hummingbirds to show up and morning glories to bloom.

SnipSnip's avatar

Not really waiting, but I like seeing both.

TJBM has found many good uses for unused wall paper.

Dutchess_III's avatar

Sure. Cover light switches with them.

TJBM tries not to waste anything.

SnipSnip's avatar

I’m not wasteful.

TJBM has considered doing something illegal, but in the end didn’t.

Nomore_Tantrums's avatar

Now and then when my back acts up I might consider parking in a handicap spot. I never do, just suck it up and deal with it. Doesn’t exactly make me a John Gotti, but still. TJBM needs rain..Badly.

SnipSnip's avatar

We’ve had rain everyday for the last couple weeks and the ten-day forecast has a higher than 60% chance of rain each day. So, not, not really.

TJBM keeps plastic milk/water jugs.

Dutchess_III's avatar

Used to. Not any more.

TJBM is melting in this unrelenting heat.

SnipSnip's avatar

No. I just strip down and turn on the fans. I leave the AC on 80 and it struggles to get there.

TJBM has traveled with a camping trailer before, and loved it.

Strauss's avatar

Not with a trailer, but in a camper van. It was in 1977. My gf at the time and I sold all our furniture that we didn’t need and travelled around the Western US for about a year, picking up work as we needed to. Gas was cheap and campgrounds were cheaper. It was a blast!

TJBM has experienced unorthodox lifestyles.

Patty_Melt's avatar

Does sleeping outdoors in a wheelchair count? I mean, for months, not a night or two.

TJBM loves dried mangoes.

tedibear's avatar

I’ve not tried it, but I do like mango and I like some dried fruit.

TJBM has experienced double vision while driving.

SnipSnip's avatar

Yes and it went away with cataract surgery.

TJBM refuses to walk across those large grids in sidewalks in cities.

Forever_Free's avatar

You have watched me avoid them. Seriously do!
Besides, they blow wind up your skirt!

TJBM loves food from a food truck!

SnipSnip's avatar

I eat little food that I do not prepare myself. I’ve never gone to a food truck other than when I was a kid and got a corn dog or funnel cake at the state fair. So, no.

TJBM loves school and has never stopped taking the occasional class.

Strauss's avatar

I stopped taking classes when I started teaching them!

TJBM is as good a student as they are a teacher.

Forever_Free's avatar

This is 110% true A+

TJBM composts their food.

SnipSnip's avatar

I do not.

TJBM prefers less contrast between background and text than the standard black text on white background.

Forever_Free's avatar

Indeed I do. I also prefer not to have white as the background.

TJBM has a vacation planned out already for the near future.

Strauss's avatar

Not planned out yet,but in the planning stages.

TJBM is TJAM.

SnipSnip's avatar

Not this time.

TJBM has noticed a new knot, bump, or wrinkle this week.

Patty_Melt's avatar

I try hard to avoid the search. Age is making me unpleasant.

TJBM has a knack for listening to other people’s problems.

Mimishu1995's avatar

I do. In fact, I think I’m the only person in my social circle that can listen without bias. Everyone else either gives unsolicited advice or pass judgement to the person with the problem. It’s not that I don’t have any bias, just that I’m good at pushing them aside for more important matters.

That actually makes it hard for me to talk about my problems with other people real life at least. It’s hard to find someone who upholds the same standard as me.

TJBM tries to be a good friend.

Patty_Melt's avatar

I do try, but sometimes fail.

TJBM will describe something delicious they would like to eat right now.

Forever_Free's avatar

Deep Dish Chicago Style Pizza (my stomach just growled)

TJBM will tell us their favorite drink to go with said Pizza

Dutchess_III's avatar

Diet Coke with everything

TJBM is taking care of problems one painful moment at a time.

longgone's avatar

Hm…more like ignoring them one painful moment at a time. Currently, a bad headache from dehydration.

[Mod says] This thread is taking too long to load, so it will be archived by the end of the day. Please start a new thread so the fun can continue!

TJBM will link to a new thread.

SnipSnip's avatar

What does it mean when it’s archived?

TJBM will accept my assignment of the honor bestowed upon me by TJAM.

Forever_Free's avatar

Yes, and the secretary will disavow any knowledge of your actions. This Thread will self-destruct in five seconds.

TJBM is still with us.

longgone's avatar

I’m here, but just to say: when a thread is archived, you can still see it – but you can no longer comment on it.
