I took a class yesterday on cake decorating and I was miserable at it. I got sugar and buttercream icing all over the place instead of in the piping bag and did a lousy job on the cake. It was humbling but I powered through and didn’t beat up on myself (too much.)

They say you learn more from your failures than from your successes. It’s hard for me to do things I’m not good at so while it wasn’t fun for me, I am proud that I didn’t get too grumpy.
