Seeing the same advice so many times in magazine and newspaper articles, I’ve trustingly hung my wrinkled garment in the bathroom while I took a shower. Never once have the wrinkles magically smoothed out.

This has been a particular disappointment in hotel rooms, where I’ve invariably unpacked some wrinkled things that went in smooth.
