You’ll be fine in my non-medical opinion. It might hit you a little harder so don’t drive or tweet, and definitely don’t exceed the recommended dosage.

I usually have to get up to pee if I drink more than a couple of ounces (~100ml) of anything before bed. Of course I don’t want to get up so I end up tossing and turning while my bladder yells at me to wake up. It ends up not being very restful sleep.

The general dictum for metabolizing alcohol is one drink per hour. So an hour after you finish your one beer, you shold be okay to take your medication without worrying about interaction.

^^I remember hearing that a long time ago, and decades of anecdotal experience seem to back it up!

The rules of thumb I use is: typical bladder is 350 – 500 ml capacity, typical kidneys produce 1 ml of urine per kg of body weight. So typical, well hydrated person weighing 70 kg person will have 350 ml in the bladder in 5 hours. Drink 350 ml can of beer at 10pm before bed and you will wake up at 3 am to pee.
By the way, an interesting side note: Native American Indians would drink a lot of water the night before an early morning raid. They used the urge to pee as an alarm clock. (I don’t remember where I read that so I can’t quote a source.)
