I work 10 hour shifts in an Amazon warehouse, walking 15 to 20 miles. I do a lot of lifting and handling of boxes and supplies.
I’m 59, been working the job for 18 months, and it might have saved my life.
I had a heart attack a couple of years ago. 6 months later I got the Amazon job, thinking it would be a weekend gig while I looked for a “real” job.
But the exercise has been a HUGE bonus and it keeps me there. I weigh 30 pounds less than two years ago. The strength training of a normal day’s work has greatly reduced my knee, foot and hand arthritis problems.
