This question reminds me of how much I don’t know about the law in my country :( All I know is that we have our version of the Supreme Court, and they deal with cases that are too much for the local courts. Often those cases go to the news because they are big cases. I only get to see footages of them declaring their final judgement on TV and that’s about it.

Are they snarled up in politics? I think so. In recent years our government has been cracking down on “corruption”, and a lot of government officials go on trials for misconducts. Are those cases legit? I don’t know. Maybe there is some conspiracy going on but who knows, maybe those people are really corrupted. There are a few people who are confirmed to be corrupted, the biggest case being that guy who lied to everyone that he just invented the first Covid test kit for our country but he actually stole everything from China. I’m not here to judge anything.
