What do you use when reading a characters name wrong after a couple of years in a novel?

Keep it the exact same way in your head…but, change it when speaking with others about the character!!!

Who reads a novel for “a couple of years”?!

@smudges I read the Dragonlance series. Is 100 or so books. I misread the wizards name. Raistlin as rastlin. I only found out when the YouTube videos came out.

Ok, so more than one novel. I can understand that. I usually make up a name that is close enough to satisfy me, but it usually bugs the hell out of me. ;)

I read characters’ names wrong all the time. I try to adjust on the outside and use the old name for myself, as a joke :)
