At my last job, we had an IT guy named Mahesh. I swore he had healing hands. He seemed to be able to lay hands on a computer or peripheral device, I mean literally, physically, and know what it wanted. He could always fix it.

I asked him about that once, after seeing him handle and heal my company-issued CPU. He said his father was a doctor and had a sixth sense for patients’ conditions. I said he must have the same talent.

I used to know another guy a long time ago who seemed to have that intuition for all sorts of machinery and devices, from radios to cars. He knew how to mend my sick stereo. Again, he seemed to take a reading on things by touching them.

Pity I never asked him to take a reading on me.

@Jeruba That’s a real thing. I humbly can’t explain it, but I have it too and I don’t know why or how. It’s not so much touching but it seems like if you work on things enough you develop a kind of relationship with physical material and a sort of sixth sense develops. I know others like this too. It’s as if it’s encoded into our DNA.

@Blackwater_Park @Jeruba I can tell when my double-click works or not before it opens. Also I can tell before the fighter gets dizzy in Street-Fighter II.

But of course! Why wouldn’t they?

In some religions, priests have a healing ritual called “laying on of hands” where they put their hands on the patient (usually head) and pray.

@smudges I’ve never asked a woman so I wouldn’t know. I’ve never had a woman go forward on me, except a patient in a hospital and I took off.

If you mean magic hocus pocus, then no. No one has. Neither men, nor women.
If you mean it in a more metaphorical sense, over 60% of doctors are of the male persuasion.

@ragingloli I had an non-erotic massage from a female friend 20 years ago when a group went camping. It felt like healing. My question is if the situation was reversed would she feel the same?

If It’s not hocus pocus them what would you call it?
Would a massage from a massuse feel the same?

@RedDeerGuy1
You should try the game “Orc Massage” on Steam. Orcs have magic hands.

Some guys probably do. William December Williams(Billy D Williams) seems like he would.
