Speaking for myself, it doesn’t matter to me. My wife always wears flats or back in the day, sometimes western boots and jeans when we went out. Ditto my previous girlfriends a thousand years back. I have always been told that high heels are uncomfortable on women. To each their own I suppose.

Because they tend to help shape a woman’s legs, butt, and the breasts.

I’m indifferent, if not sympathetic to women and high heels. I do think it’s supposed to cause the legs to flex in such a way that the butt is tighter or something. It’s pretty degrading now that I’m actually thinking about it. Certainly not on the level of foot binding, but maybe on the spectrum with corsets and Brazilian waxing.

Also, there are some guys who are REALLY into feet/shoes. I’ve never really understood that one myself, but whatever makes people happy I guess…

I don’t. I mean, some might be good-looking shoes, but I rarely look at women’s shoes, and when I do, I tend to think of the social expectations to wear painful difficult shoes, and I’m often relieved and glad to see women not wearing heels.

Don’t generalize. We like what we like and have to offer no explanation to the ‘why’ question.

While I like how it shapes the legs and butt, I have to admit I’m a little in awe of anyone that can walk in heels. It seems an accident-likely act to me. And I am very much a person that believes you should be comfortable. If you would be more comfortable in slippers…wear them.

As a woman I can tell you what heels does for your body. Standing on basically stilts you have better balance if you stand straighter. That means having your shoulder back and chest up and stomach in. You engage your core muscles more for balance. Forces you without having to think about it, to do so. Legs appear longer and slimmer and your butt muscles are also engaged, giving your butt a more lifted and rounder appearance.

I can honestly say, I see the difference when I wear flats vs heels. Throw all that in and ad that it makes your hips sway more, I can see the attraction. Also throw in that heels can sometime make a woman feel more confident and appear more elegant in how she looks and that too can add to the attractiveness of the person.

Now that said. I say don’t wear heels if you don’t care too. The damage to your body is not worth it to look good. Buy clothing that look good with flats and stay fit and healthy and your confidence will improve.

I usually avoid questions like this, but I need to just add another opinion here. I’m a heterosexual male who has always been extremely turned off by high heels. Woman can wear whatever they want, and I have no problem with that. But it’s very cultural. I don’t know any woman who have ever worn high heels, and don’t know any men who find it attractive.

Do we? Because I don’t. In fact, on the RARE occasions this has come up with other guys, I’ve had general agreement that high heels are NOT sexy. What’s sexy about walking on mini-stilts?

I think that heels, like alot of things women do for beauty, is more for the woman than the man. My mother says she likes how it makes her calves look (well, she said this back when she was younger…now she has bad feet and never wears them). It reduces the height difference between a woman and a man and helps with confidence.

But as a guy I have literally never looked at a woman’s SHOES and said ‘oh wow!’. Trust me, I’m staring at your boobs or hip/ass.

Now, there are some people for whom feet and heels are a fetish. I can’t speak to that. I ‘get’ some fetishes, even when I don’t share them. But some I just don’t understand. The foot thing is one of them. Furries. Defecation/urination. The internet is a dark and scary place and I’ve learned about some fetishes that just make me retch.
