They do make for great hiding places. When I was a teenager and stealing cigarettes from my parents, I always stuck them in my bra.

As a male, I found women’s (girl’s) bras to be an obstacle. How do you get to second base when she’s wearing body armor?

Daily! I’m pretty much in summer sports bra’s right now due to the excessive heat. They are a bit more comfortable due to design and cotton material than most. The material in most off the shelf bra’s are terrible.

If a woman hates her bra, it’s the wrong size/style. A properly fitted bra is comfortable and desirable to wear every day.

Sounds like you are wearing the wrong size and bad quality. Measure where the band goes below your breast and add 4–5 inches and that’s your size. So, if you measure 30” you are a 34. Some brands it’s plus 5. Then pick a cup size that fully covers your breast and the wire is flat against your chest. The wire should not be digging into your breast.

Most people wear the band size too large and the cup too small. When the band is too large it slides around and your straps fall down. Cheap quality has fabric that can be uncomfortable.

If you wear a 36 C usually, but you measure for a 34 with my instructions, then try a 34 D. If you measure for a 38, then try 38 B, or if you are popping out and not smooth you might need a 38C.

I think bras are good for exercising. It would be nice if breasts looking a certain way wasn’t part of fashion or modesty expectations and just was for practical reasons to help women physically.

@JLeslie I wish I had you as a coach. I tried your method and it works great! I think I was undersized things and they always were kinda tight and odd feeling. With a little trial and error, I think I’m much better at sizing. My cup size is bigger than I thought. I’m sure this may change with different styles but I have a better understanding now. My mom never helped out much in that department.

@RayaHope You can measure for cup size, but I didn’t bother explaining it, because the cup size still winds up being a little trial and error.

@RayaHope Not that they weren’t invented, but I wish all manufacturers actually measured them the same. There are certain brands that underside their bras and others that oversize them. You can buy 2 different brand bras the same size and they will not match. As a heads up, your darker bras, black or dark navy blue or bright pink or what you usually run smaller. I have purchased 2 same style and brand bras in different colors and have often found the darker of the two to be smaller. I don’t know if it’s the weave or maybe the dyeing process that makes them smaller. Sometimes its just the strap that is smaller and sometimes it’s the cup. Its annoying as hell. Manufactures do the same things with black jeans. They too run smaller.

@Pandora That’s interesting what you have observed with dark colored bras. Same style same brand? I worked for two bra companies and never noticed that in the exact same style.

@Pandora That explains a lot. No wonder I’ve had so much trouble, I never realized that sizing could be so different even for the same size.

Size discrepancies apparently occur with different types of apparel.

E.g., my shoe size seems to vary from size 10 to 11, depending on the brand.

Here’s a two-word solution: fitting room.

@JLeslie It really, I suppose that the lighter bras have more give. The darker ones have very little flexablility. If you have a Lane Bryant near you check out their bras. Just pick one the same size and match up the bands. The ones closer in size will be the same brand but in different colors. Then match the same brand but different style and you will find an even bigger discrepancy.
I’ve gone and bought the same style bra in different colors after trying one on in the past and then I’ve purchase the same style and only in different colors to realize the darker ones were often tighter and sometimes the cup smaller. So I make it a rule that I take a measuring tape and lay it out and then stretch the band. If there is a difference in how far they stretch then I will usually stick with the one with a little more give. I want my bra to hug me, not feel like its made of cast iron.

@Pandora Try a better brand like Wacoal. I worked for them for a while, the quality is excellent.
