I think the US already has it covered!!! For the military, they draft you into their service. We’re already required to serve jury duty. IF you’re arrested & convicted, you can be forced into community service. I’m NOT that familiar with Canada, but I doubt that they are that far behind us in conscripting those they think they need!!!

@LadyMarissa Thanks. I would like to add that it is not limited to executive positions (Prime minister, President ect.), but any public service position. Like street sweepers, and administration jobs. From labor shortages.

I have to think you’d need to apply the draft to women too, which would require a new law. After that simple adjustment, you’d have to convince the courts and the people that this wasn’t militant nationalism, but benign, enforced, public service, merely operating under military pretenses.
