If I upgrade to Windows 11 my game Canis Canem Edit will stop crashing?

Canis Canem Edit (Rockstar Games). I wanted to stay with Windows 10 for the rest of my life. But I’m willing to sacrifice it if it guarantees me that the game won’t crash anymore. It is difficult for me to properly install and use Fixes and Patches. L.A. Noire does not crash.

Doubt it but worth a try. PC ports of Playstation 2 games generally suck IMO. The way to play that game is with a physical disc on an actual playstation 2. L.A. Noire was a playstation 3 game that got a playstation 4 port so that one was properly rebuilt for modern systems.

Also, you may have better luck using a PS2 emulator on your PC to run the original game file.

No. W11 is basically W10 with some new user interface elements. Technically, the underpinnings are just about the same.

Yeah, it seems to me possible but unlikely that Windows 11 would run a game better unless the game was designed and tested on Windows 11.

So “guarantees me that the game won’t crash anymore” is not an option. Blackwater Park has the best suggestion for that: get the console it was originally written for.

Failing that, find the main tech forum for that game and ask people there about the issues you are having, and who has gotten it to run well on Windows, and how.

The remaster/port of Bully (American name) is known to be bug filled.

@Zaku.
In fact, before Fluther, I wanted to become a modder for this game, but the community Bully-board.com are not very responsive.
But maybe one day they will accept me with all responsibility.

It is your computer not the Windows 10.

@KRD. My laptop is Lenovo Ideapad 330S-15IKB. Medium ruler.

IF I remember correctly…you can switch to W11 & IF you don’t like it, you can switch back to W10 within 10 days uless they’ve changed that. Personally, I didn’t find that W11 fixed any problems that I had been having in W10, so I don’t think that it’s going to help your crashing problem…but, I could be wrong!!! There is NO such thing as a “guarantee” when it comes to computers!!!

^^ After posting that, I read that Win 12 is supposed to be coming out between now & 2024. They are promising bigger & better, but they ALWAYS promise that!!! I don’t dislike W11; however, I’m NOT that impressed with it either!!! When they brought out W10, they promised that would be the last as everything after that would be via regular upgrades. Think they lied???

@LadyMarissa. After Bill Gates retired, it all turned into profanation.

^^ I don’t keep up with Gates, so I hadn’t considered that.
