We shrunk the wolf into chihuahuas. So does that mean we could do a breeding program to make chickens the size of ostriches?

We already supersize chickens to have huge breasts so they can barely stand up.

They’re called Turkeys !

Chickens today have a shorter period of time to market https://www.thepoultrysite.com/articles/why-the-rapid-growth-rate-in-todays-chickens

Only up to a point. Their legs aren’t strong enough to support a whole lot more weight.

@JLeslie I’ve read that too. So cruel!

Chickens are vicious predators. They will charge and eviscerate anything! I do not want to start worrying about being disemboweled by a rotten chicken.

No.

But you can super size your fries.

Baby steps.

Have you ever seen one of those Costco $5 chickens? Those huge suckers set your mind to wondering. It’s not merely that they’re huge, but the fact that they can roast and sell them hot at 5 bucks a pop. The things are suspiciously juicy and delicious, and one of the best deals anywhere.

In case you haven’t noticed, that has already been done. Buy a package of chicken breasts and imagine the size of the chicken it came from. What’s more important is that the taste is nowhere near as good as when chickens were half the size.

Many people are already “super-sized” so that’s not a good idea :(

Yes we can. Should we is a different question.
Let’s just leave nature be. Don’t fool with Mother Nature
