I used to do this with the Food Network for years. Just have it running in the background while I did housework. Often without the sound on, just so I could see all the food porn. If I was paying more attention, I liked a bunch of the personalities on there including Giada and Alton Brown.

I eventually got tired of it though when they had less original programming and more and more reruns.

Now, I play podcasts while cleaning (and driving, and sometimes sleeping).

I don’t. If I have a show/personality that I like, whether it’s on TV or Youtube or whatever, I always make sure I listen to them in full. I only do background noise to things I’m not particularly interested. That’s why I set up my schedule to watch my favorite things.
