Do you microwave a cold coffee?

Do you like it?
What about coffee that is cold and several hours old, do you nuke that as well, or just throw it out and make new coffee?

Nope. If need be will reheat coffee stove top. A microwave came with our house we bought a year ago but I rarely use it. Maybe twice so far.

I nuke my cold coffee and have often been told I am disgusting for doing so.
I don’t care, I am older now, and have earned the right to be a semi-feral barbarian.

Oh yeah I sure do. As long as it’s not been sitting on the burner for a long time before it got cold. Then I throw it out unless someone else wants it. I don’t like coffee after it gets bitter. ewww yuck

I would. I have.
Don’t drink coffee much, just tea. But I wouldn’t hesitate to microwave either.

I nuke mine. I make a pot fresh in the morning and then pour cups from it throughout the day.
I nuke it for about 2 minutes and it’s good to go.

I try not to waste it. It’s a sign of respect. Those coffee beans and pickers sacrificed for me.
And it saves money.

@LuckyGuy I think we have discussed this in the past, you and I, the never wasting of coffee. Or really anything, for that matter. :-)

I microwave day-old coffee that has been in a Thermos. It’s just OK, not nearly as tasty as when it’s fresh.

No, I don’t think I’ve ever microwaved coffee, that I remember. I think I’ve been advised against it.

Fortunately, I like cold coffee with cold milk.

But also, more often, I will heat some water to over 200 F to heat my cup, and heat/froth about a cup of milk, then add some room-temperature coffee, to get a warm combination.

@canidmajor In the winter I take the full utilization concept one tiny step further. Rather than tossing the used coffee filter and grounds into the trash, I place them on top of an air vent to dry it out. Then next morning I put the dried combination in my wood burning stove which converts it to heat.

This results in 5 benefits for me – and the planet.
1) Drying it out adds about 30 ml of much needed moisture into the room atmosphere.
2) It emits a trace of delicious coffee aroma.
3) I reduce landfill trash by about 50 grams.
4) Burning the filter paper and 20 grams of grounds is worth about $0.01 in free heat
5) The free heat is equivalent to 6 grams of heating oil that I am leaving in the earth, reducing greenhouse gasses.

One more benefit:
6) I spread the fireplace ash on my lawn and in the garden so the minerals are reused rather than going into a landfill.

OK, I declare that I am a coffee snob.
I make fresh grind coffee everyday. I buy my beans at a local roaster. I never waste a drop.
I will never nuke it. I put ice in it or put it in the fridge for later consumption.
In the summer I will make a 12 cup carafe, pour a hot cup to savor as I read and put the rest in the fridge for an iced glass mid day.
Sometimes I pour fresh hot coffee into a half filled cold cup from the prior day.

I only make one cup of coffee at a time, and have been doing that a lifetime prior to the Keurig. I do not use a Keurig. If coffee gets cold it goes down the drain.

I did that just today. I have a 12 cup coffee maker. Sometime I use it, and what I don’t drink that day, I put in the fridge for the next day. I will microwave it in the morning, if I do want it hot.
