What did you do in your life that you’re surprised you did it?

“Great Question” (2points)

Something you never imagined you would do or get to do?

Something unexpected?

A goal you fantasized about, but thought it was unlikely.

You can interpret how you want.

I asked my parents, and I remember my mom said she was surprised she lived so many years retired and very grateful she lived so long while not having to work. I think my dad was surprised he has lived so long, but I don’t remember clearly, I’ll have to watch the video again.

My answer is I’m shocked I went to Michigan State University. I never would have imagined going to school there or that I would like going to school there. I LOVED it.

I would love to answer this question. But there were so many things that I’ve done and they would give me away and many would say I was bragging so I will have to not answer (even though I would be dying to) darn-it!

I walked past a KFC, last week, and I didn’t get any.

I was never any good at talking to girls. I went out with one and was nervous about talking because I really liked this girl. The two of us yakked our heads off the whole date!!! The fact that I did it still blows my mind!

I used to ski, but didn’t consider myself a good skiier. A few times, I went with my family to the top of a medium-level mountain and made it down without falling. If you ski, you know once you get off the ski life, the only way down is to ski down (unless you get hurt, in which case you’ll be going down on a paramedic’s sled).

Taking major acting roles in community theatre. In HS and college, I thought theatre was frivolous. In my late 20s, I realized how much I loved watching dance performances, so I got involved behind the scenes in community dance productions. A friend moved to town to get her MFA in theatre, so I started helping with her plays, and then I got hooked up doing tech for another small theatre company. After like a decade of working backstage (and doing bit parts when asked), I finally stepped out and took on major roles in full-length plays. While I’m no pro, I pretty well crushed it with a few roles, including one frenetic three-actor Christmas mashup, one where I played a Jewish father (nowhere near Jewish, but I was told I was “in the tribe”), and one where I played a developmentally disabled adult who ends up channeling a wise and benevolent spirit (so going back and forth between acting like an excitable three-year-old and an Obi Wan figure).

Most of it?

Luckily life has been better than my imagination. Even when it’s been harder.

The much younger man i just did, and hope for many repeats.
Goodness, he is so hot! Still don’t understand his attraction to me, but glad to enjoy.

Survived over nine months living on the streets while trying to acquire various documentation to prove my identity. Some are being difficult to release. I even survived snow! Senior citizen in a wheelchair. I deserve an award. Hospitalized once an hour from death, my heart was low on potassium. It was my young man who found me on the ground, and saved me.

Got married, stayed married. Everyone said it wouldn’t last. I think 30 years qualifies as lasting.

@Acrylic I feel that.
