The attitude that “what I want” is more important than “what you need”. The world was better off back when we ALL had each other’s back!!!

Taxes are way too high. Over half of our earned money goes to the government, and that doesn’t seem right.

Too many people! And more on the way every day!

That people are fighting stupid culture wars and stupid real wars instead of banding together to tackle poverty, hunger and the effects of climate change.

Mindlessness is epidemic.

Dutchess_III's avatar

1. People adopting the f word so casually.
2. People falling back on their perceived mental illnesses as an excuse for failing.

Human greed.

Feline and canine greed!

The inevitable changes humanity is selfishly bringing to the world.

My fucking failures due to mental illness.~

On a “world” level, I’m worried about all of the recent high tensions between US, Russia, China, North Korea. China meeting with Russia. Russia now has the Wall Street Journal journalist they arrested for espionage the other day. North Korea is nuts, has always been but it’s not good, ever. Russia rolling through the Ukraine and they’re not going to stop at that, and we can’t keep supporting Ukraine forever, even if we wanted to, if a Republican were to get elected in the US, they would likely stop or limit aid to Ukraine, and then Russia would go for Moldova next. Ukraine, Moldova first, the world, second.

The division and the complete lack of any sensible resource planning.

The increasing nationalism in pretty much every country you care to look at.

The fact that people are blind to the differences between nationalism and patriotism and confuse the two.
The fact that politicians who implement or suggest nationalist policies get upset when they are compared to the last centuries famous nationalists.

“People falling back on their perceived mental illnesses as an excuse for failing.” What a fucking joke. As if you can diagnose or make any kind of judgment of others’ motivations and the outcomes. Your ignorant fucking opinion contains no truth. Fuck off with that fucking bullshit. Fuck.

I am one of those people that doesn’t think anything happening today, on a large scale, is any different than at any point in history. But if it comes to the particulars, I am still irritated by the conflation of sex and gender, especially now with all the nonsense surrounding the two.

Lots of things. Cost of living out of control , political in fighting , gun culture, possibilty of another world war, hell just stop the world i want to get off.

Its impending destruction from human industrial side-effects, and how little people are doing to avoid that.

Reading @Dutchess_III‘s reply to this question.

RayaHope's avatar

@Kropotkin That is a harsh answer :(
People intolerance towards other people, I don’t hate anyone.

RayaHope's avatar

@raum You do need to have limitations. All would need to be tolerant. We could not survive with others being intolerant which is basically what I said. Peoples intolerance towards other people.

raum's avatar

@RayaHope I appreciate your sentiment. But I’m not down with judging others for their mental health.

RayaHope's avatar

@raum I wouldn’t do that. I have my own issues when it comes to that. I have epilepsy and that is something I can not control, I hope people don’t judge me for that.

RayaHope's avatar

^^I don’t hate her. I believe she should have told him her age.

jca2's avatar

@RayaHope: @Mimishu1995 linked more than one question.

Mimishu1995's avatar

@RayaHope https://www.fluther.com/235238/why-would-a-12-year-old-girl-not-tell-a-18/#quip3843037

And how about the other links then? So you don’t hate the other people?

RayaHope's avatar

@Mimishu1995 I just checked your other links and I don’t see your point. The one is about asking for a separate section for lewd sexual acts, what’s that got to do with hate? Your last one simple goes back to the first one I already addressed about the girl. The one about trump is tongue in cheek and well am I wrong? So yeah, he’s the one exception, so sue me.

Bullying wears me out. Don’ like what somebody else thinks, don’t listen to them. Choose to go your own way

MrGrimm888's avatar

You never shared your opinions DD…

Dig_Dug's avatar

I didn’t did I? Well I think the gun control thing is one of the biggest problems right now. But that is only part of the bigger problem, but without making this my soapbox I’ll just say we need gun control because too many kids are becoming easy targets. I am deeply troubled by this and it has shaken me to my core.

MrGrimm888's avatar

^As understandable as that is. Life has far worse issues than that. Or. At least as tragic.
As with anything in the past, positive or negative, we can only make note and move on. It’s definitely important to never forget some things. But. It’s kinda like letting bad things define who you are, not who you are capable of being.

Blackwater_Park's avatar

I think the seismic geopolitical events currently unfolding far outweigh basic gun control right now. Truth be told, I don’t think we are going to avoid major conflicts in the next few years. Few, if any of us here are old enough to know what that’s really like. Sure we have been alive for wars, but not a global conflict.

MrGrimm888's avatar

^A sobering concept. A world at war, is a dystopian nightmare. I also foresee a dangerous gauntlet of possible catastrophe.
Such is the way of our world.
I’ve said it a million times. The default setting of humanity, is chaos…

Dutchess_III's avatar

The absolute rudeness.

tinyfaery's avatar

“2. People falling back on their perceived mental illnesses as an excuse for failing.”

This is the rudest FUCKING comment here. You seem to embrace the rudeness whenever you feel like it. Take that sanctimonious bullshit somewhere else.
