@Dutchess_III Just because I was angry, and being petty.

I usually keep to myself, and have no way to get 3 letters of reference. It’s held me back.

Unless I can get three letters of reference from Fluther?

Traditionally you get 3 references from 3 different sources.

I imagine most employers would balk at such a reversal of norms, not to mention the blow to their egos. That said, a lot of employers are doing outreach campaigns that are basically the equivalent of what you’re asking about. Your idea is funnier, though.

@Dutchess_III Since we’re in a labor shortage, potential employees can be picky about who they work for. So the question is about turning the tables and making the boss submit letters of reference (i.e., “give me three references who will tell me why I should work for you instead of someone else”).

@RedDeerGuy1 I would be willing to write you a letter of reference when you apply for your next job. When I applied for my last job, they didn’t want 3 “letters” of reference…instead asking for the contact info to your 3 personal references so they could call & speak directly with your references & ask their own pertinent Qs.
