One guy said along the lines of “It depends in what your definition of ‘is,’ is.” despite even the thickest unabridged dictionary you could find at that time had but one very simple definition for ‘is’. As Bugs Bunny would say, “What a maroon.”

The quote you are referring to is often attributed to President Lyndon B. Johnson. However, there is no evidence that he ever said this. It is possible that this quote was made up by someone else and then attributed to him. (per Bing AI)
