If I call Netflix for this, will they do anything?
I pay for my own Netflix account
I am the ONLY ONE that uses it.
When I hang out with my boyfriend, I log into his TV so we can watch. He never watches it when I am not there, so its a couple hours 2 times a week ish.
It is only one profile, and 99% of the viewing is at my house.
Why was I prompted to pay the extra $8 to add a member? Does this mean I cannot watch at his house anymore? To me, this is the equivalent of Netflix locking you out when you use it on a device at a hotel or something. Like, they have to be able to tell its not being watched non stop, or simultaneously as me.
I feel it is dumb and I want to call Netflix and explain, but are they just going to tell me I cannot because I am watching it at someone elses house?
