How To Remove “Network Connections” icon from task area (beside the clock – bottom right corner)
Open “Network Connections”. Right click on your connection and select ‘Properties’. At the bottom are two check boxes.
First: “Show Icon Notification Area Connected”
Second: “Notify When Limited Or No Connectivity”
Uncheck the “Show Icon Notification Area Connected” box. Also if you don’t use an internet connection and don’t care to see the computer icon with the red x beside the clock, uncheck the “Limited Or No Connectivity” box.
I left the second box (Limited Or No Connectivity) checked off because my connection is permanent to the net.
I only want to see that icon if there is something wrong with my internet connection, and hopefully I never do see the icon !!!
