i work with someone who won 1 mil will take 20 years of payments. will pay him 30K/year after taxes which is not that much. not enough to quit!!
i used to go out with a guy who played the numbers daily, and one day we went to a mall to have dinner, and there was another car in the lot across from mine whose plate had the same last four numbers as my plate. he told me “we have to play that number.” at dinner, he was talking about how we have to play that number. i don’t play numbers, so i didn’t care too much. he told me i have a feeling about that number. i told him the world is full of people who have a feeling about a number. that’s how the lottery makes money. everyone has a feeling about a number. well, the next day the number came out and he was so mad because he said with a four digit number it would have paid over $5K. then on monday, at work, a coworker told me that on Friday (the day i had the dinner with the boyfriend) she was looking for my car where i usually park it at work, and saw it wasn’t there. then she looked across the street in another parking lot and saw another car with the last four digits as my plate had (she played numbers so she obviously was always looking at numbers, too) and she said to herself that she would have to play that number. well, she didn’t play it either that day, and so if she did and if i/we did that would be two people who won over 5K. I know “if” is a big word! that’s my story about coming close to 5K. you gotta be in it to win it!!
i don’t play lottery or numbers or anything. sometimes, maybe once a year i might. or if the job is taking a collection for a rare big payout.
