“Great Question” (0points)

I’m writing an essay on how the everyday objects designed by Philippe Starck can be considered art. Who are some artists in the Modernism movement that have paintings or sculptures that are inspired by nature? Especially ones with a flame/fire motif or water/fluid lines.

Modernism is such a broad movement, it would be hard to narrow down just one person.

I think you could make the case the Jackson Pollock used organic shapes and patterns (motifs) to illustrate his point of view. Matisse as well used water/fluid lines to express illustrative and abstract concepts. Georgia O’Keeffe would be another fine example of nature through a modernist lens.
