Trees, plants and nature in general. For design however, walking around downtown looking at old decayed buildings and bricks, pavement, graffiti, filth and litter, always does the trick.
I am with delirum on this one. I have many, many pieces of art portraying women of all sorts. I can honestly say that every woman I have ever met has some beauty to her. That inspires me.
For anything visual: Water and natural light. I love being by the sea – or lake, river or stream – but I can get little “look at that!” moments anywhere, and it’s usually do with how sunlight/moonlight and shadow hit something. Oh, and I love watching sunrises, sunsets and clouds!
In general: People! Their appearances, mannerisms, expressions, opinions, feelings…..
blogs. nature. walking down the street. watching interesting people. fashion. changing your disposition. sleeping and dreaming. conversations with people that are different than you. cool books. googling things that come to the top of your head.
I enjoy derivative work (most is anyway) so I find inspiration in all printer matter: billboards, signs in train platforms, on buses, labels of all sorts, newspaper & magazines. Some of this results in collages, other in scripts for performance art,
etc.
