For two weeks, every time I used my land line, I would pick up the handset, get this really funny sound that I could only describe as metallic, I would dial the number, get as series of clicks, then the number would start to ring. Never happened before, stopped after two weeks.
In all fairness, my nephew took a “For $20,000 you, too, can learn to fly a 747” course in attempt to position himself for a position with a certain airline. (He is a commercial pilot), and my husband, because of the nature of his work, only flies multiple one way segments (Leave City A, City B, City C, City D, Return to City A) each week. There were one or two other things going on as well, that added together, our household fit a “profile”. It alarmed me at first, but really didn’t bother me.
I think the ability to filter and monitor is there, built into things we do—phones, especially cell phones, the Internet, all of it, has a certain level of watchfulness with triggers in place that key words or strings of words cause to bubble up to the surface. It has nothing to do with George Bush, or really any administration.
