Yeah, I know. I do think perhaps a monthly cycle should be in order. I understand the idea behind spreading the lurve beyond your friends, however, it just seems kind of flawed to me. (and I realize you have no control over it, I’m just talking :P)
I hope this makes sense, cause it makes sense in my head. For one, Fluther has a certain core number of frequent users, so I would imagine a good portion of lurve given out, not to mention questions/answers posted, belong to this core. So a lot of lurve is given out to the same people by the same people, because they are active.. How do you get lurve from other people, if they rarely log on, participate in discussions, etc.?
Not actually applying the points is, in effect, sort of taking something away from those that are active and freely sharing lurve, which blows my mind a little because those are things I think should be encouraged here. Personally, I think we should reward the active users (+1 daily lurve aside). I Fluther in part because I’m a point junkie. Now that I know I’m not getting some of my points, I feel less excited about Fluther.
