I dunno, though—somehow it seems like if your GOAL is book-writing, then just write a book, y’know? I think Waiterrant and SWPL were good blogs (I read WaiterRant for a long time) that just happened to get turned into books because the guys are good writers.
I guess what i’m saying is that blogs are platforms designed for Being A Blogger on the Internet, not platforms for getting published. Some bloggers have transcended the medium, as will always happen when you have a population, but that’s not something I think you should EXPECT, especially considerin the number of truly shitty bloggers there are out there.
I think this also depends a lot on what kind of book you want to write. Is the work chronological? Is it digestible in chunks? I guess you could publish chapters as blog posts, but that seems a lot more like writing a book then blogging, rather than vice-versa.
