Why does my suitemate always have to be in the bathroom when I need to use it?

She also has the strangest sleeping patterns ever and when she and her friends are in her room with the doors closed, there are periodic ridiculously large noise that sound like concrete basketballs being thrown against the (very thin) walls.

And this is why I don’t live with roommates, and do live in an apartment with thick concrete walls. Peace and quiet, and reliably so.

I am sure this is some corollary to Murphy’s Law. The more you need to pee, the more chance of the bathroom being occupied or some such variation.
