Africa faces the same social challenges as the Arab world and Pakistan. Most of the people in these countries still value their tribal identity far above their national identity. The civil wars in these countries are driven by historical tribal feuds and not true political issues.
No amount of national unions will cure this problem. Only a social evolution to national identity will end these conflicts.
