In these spy movies, the evil guy asks for 50 million dollars. However, he has hundreds, or even thousands of henchmen, security guards, button-pushers, mechanics, etc… working for him. How much money do you think the head honcho gets in the end after all subtractions?

One million dollars, of course : )

I’m guessing they don’t get anything because the evil guy keeps it all for himself.

@derektherock: but wouldnt they go on strike?

@Mtl_zack Good point. I can’t think of a counter-point.

If you’re thinking about getting into the henchmen business, let me warn you right now, it’s not as good a gig as it seems.

First, the $50 million. Sure, you’re getting a cut, but your share is just a percentage of the net, based on seniority. After union dues, you’re looking at a nice Christmas bonus, but not a retirement fund. On top of that, there’s almost no way to get promoted into management unless you’re a hunchback.

Henching just isn’t a growth industry these days. Not that it’s great for the evil masterminds, either—who can afford to pay a $50 million ransom in this economic climate?

@mtl_zack, they could but a lot of times the henchmen are working for the evil person because that person is keeping them out of jail, or protecting them. watch ace ventura pet detective, the henchmen are being kept out of jail.

just an example

in this economy??? Heh. I think the going rate for commander and cheif is $200,000 a year with all the fringe benefits you want just as long as your bosses can tie strings to your arms and legs and prance you infront of cameras every so often. Hell, your best friends can even get away with shooting lawyers in the face.

I pay mine just a little above the minimum wage. Obviously the ones feeding my bionic shark get compensated a small “hazardous work environment” bonus on top of that. I did stop the health care plan, and used the funds on “target practice” workshops. Maybe now they actually hit something when they wield their machineguns at my adversary.

They get paid in rice, don’t they?

My evil minions get paid in a number of ways: me not, ahem, disposing of them, a part of my empire when my evil scheme works, and of course, a kindly smile from me every 7.5 days. At midnight. If they fall asleep, too bad. No re-smiles. This isn’t Disneyworld.
