During the long power outage, I toasted bread over a gas burner and then added sliced tomatoes and strips of mozarella cheese. Not bad, no dishes, and edible.
Ramen noodles are good dry! They’re also really good when you turn them into microwavable burritos, with hot sauce to dip them in! Yum! Kinda want one now.. :D
I prefer any sweet & colorful cereal, but I’ve never met a bowl of cereal I didn’t like…. Except maybe grapenuts. Not even three spoons of sugar can disguise the taste of dirt & bean sprouts.
Either cereal, oatmeal or “bullseyes”, where you cut a circle in a piece of bread, and crack an egg into the circle, and fry it in a little butter. Or a toasted English muffin with cheddar cheese. (I’m sensing a breakfast theme going on here…)
While we’re on the subject of blessing food creators/suggestions, I just want to send a bucket of Lurve to whoever mentioned cake balls in another question about food. Oh. My. Goodness. Ohmymymymymymy!!
The magic ingredient is salsa. I keep jars of “mild” to hand. You can scramble eggs with salsa in a MW in two minutes (add 1 t water), mix with cottage cheese, eat with decent corn chips, throw in already-made soup like lentil, split pea or black beans and eat it out of jar with a spoon. I usually have a pot of cooked brown rice in fridge; open a can of black beans, slice some mozzarella, douse with salsa and nuke the bowl.
