O.K. NFL fans. What is the green dot on the back of the quarterbacks helmet for?

it means he has a microphone/radio

Only one player can have a mic/radio on the field at a time. The green dot is for the refs—if they see more than one on the field they’ll call a penalty.

I thought I heard that if the quarterback is the holder on a kick, he can’t wear this helmet. I don’t recall why, though.
