Monopoly, of course!

any board game. I recently bought “Prophecy” and am looking forward to getting together with my friends.

I realised why I don’t like Monopoly that much when I played the PC version recently (and loved it). The problem is that the game is too victory-oriented. You’re supposed to win and it’s not much fun for everyone else, because you can tell you’re losing hours before it’s actually over. Whereas some other board games can give you hope until the last moment.

Having said that, of course I like Monopoly too. And practically any board game.

The only video game I really enjoy on LAN is DotA (a Warcraft mod). But only if everyone is around the same ability level. Counterstrike was fun for a year, but not anymore.

Trivial Persuit, Life and Pictionary are my three favorites. I’m not really into card or (multiplayer)video games

Trival Pursuit, Charades, Poker, Pictionary, and for video games, not a lot since I hate having the screen split into 4, but for online, Left 4 Dead. Actually, now that I think about it, Rock Band or Guitar Hero World Tour would have to be the only games I don’t mind playing 4 player on the same TV.

Euchre. Best four-handed card game a lot of people have never heard of. It’s a regional game. Almost anyone who lives in Ohio, Pennsylvania, or Michigan knows how to play it. Here in Illinois, I’ve never met 3 other people who know how to play, so I’ve gotten out of practice.

Scrabble is my favorite board game, no matter how many players there are. Four is about right, though.

Left 4 Dead, Team Fortress 2, Rock Band (2), Apples to Apples, Settlers of Catan, Ticket to Ride, Fan Tan, Mafia.

eambos's avatar

I thought this was refferring to hanging out with people in real life, but if online videogames are included, I’ll have to add Team Fortress 2, Call of Duty: World at War, and Starcraft.

Scrabble, Trivial Pursuit, Spades, Poker, and Farkle (a fun, easy dice game).

I used to love Bunko (another dice game), but haven’t played in a long time.

I like trivia games when there are a lot of people and turn-based strategy games when there are about 2 to 6 people.

I really don’t have a particular favorite, but…

Hungry Hungry Hippos I loved when I was a kid.

Pictionary and Trivial Pursuit, even though I had no idea what any of the answers were.

Scattegories.

Ticket to Ride is a fun train board game for all ages, but more fun for adults if you drink while you play.

Guillotine card game is fun.

Citadels card games is another favorite.

Phase 10 is good.

Super Smash Bros and Mario Kart.
