There really isn’t an inexpensive option, unfortunately. Train is probably your best bet. Fastest: Amtrak from Princeton Junction to Boston. Slightly cheaper: NJ Transit train from Princeton Junction to NY Penn Station, then Amtrak to Boston.
Do you have a virtual “ride board”? we used to have one on my campus…students could post that they needed a ride, and split the cost of gas with other students who also wanted to drive. There must be other Princeton students who want to visit Harvard…
Ivy League schools* do NOT give merit scholarships; only a financial package (grant, loan, work/study) based on need. They also pow-wow and agree beforehand so that one is not outbidding the other…
*Harv., Yale, Prince., Dart., Columbia, U Penn, Cornell and now MIT – altho it was never part of the eponymous Ivy League football league.
@carlosp; I couldn’t agree more. It is often difficult to figure out that what makes one person laugh is serious business to another. There is also a huge (13–70+) age difference on this board. It makes for some very interesting reading.
