I’m very heartfelt at your nephew’s love for our new president. I’m sure he’s absolutely in love with the new President’s policies. And I’m sure it was definitely worth it to pay for Aretha Franklin to huff a song into the microphone with her dying breaths as well. You can’t spend the next four years comparing Obama to the last president as your only point of defense. This is completely unrelated to the war so stop using it as a cop-out.
“People need some fun”? Define fun. I would call an inauguration many things, but fun isn’t one of them. There aren’t exactly water slides and mascots with ice cream cones. But I’m sure you’re right about the local residents. I’m sure they enjoyed their trash-littered streets and impossible traffic for those few days. Feels good to finally receive what you’ve earned.
Barrack is treated just like a celebrity. If you don’t believe me then read Chris Rock’s interview regarding the new President on CNN. He’s directly compared to Will Smith and Brad Pitt. Find some young kid wearing an Obama shirt and ask them one question regarding any one of Obama’s policies. I’m sure they’ll have plenty of insight on the situation. Maybe they’ll even have a new ‘Sweet Sasha’ beanie baby! It’s cute that they tried to deny the dolls’ relation to the President’s daughter when they’re the only black dolls on the website: http://www.ty.com/TyGirlz_Home
How about you celebrate after he’s actually done something…
