Fluther, LLC has been widely rumored to be a front for the “Gaelic Liberation Army”, a shadowy and loosely-organized international network of Scottish “resistance fighters” who’s stated aim is to “overthrow the trousered tyranny” (their Gaelic motto, Siud Saor a Basaich, can be roughly translated as “Swing Free or Die”). They stop at nothing to achieve their goals, but their preferred tactic is hurling telephone poles (AKA “Frizzers”) at people in pants.
The founders of Fluther deny any connection to the clandestine organization, but Interpol sources point out that “Fluther” is how residents of the Firth of Forth, where the GLA is centered, refer to themselves.
While innocent people, unaware of Fluther’s hidden agenda, are allowed to frequent the site (thus lending it an air of authenticity), the core GLA members (AKA “The Collective”) communicate to each other in coded messages that are indecipherable to the uninitiated.
