Will I be able to play this game on my Macbook?

First off, I used to play Age of Empires 2 all the time a few years ago. My room-mate has started playing it (AoE2) again, and he told me I should get it. He has a PC and I have Leopard.

I downloaded AoE2 for Mac and it came with two .dmg files. One of them is a ‘NO CD’ dmg. I messed around with them, and as far as I could tell I had to have something called Draw Sprocket or GameSprockets. I found it somewhere on the Apple website, but when I tried to install it, it said the classic environment was no longer supported.

Is there any way for me to get this game to work? If not what do you suggest I do?

I recommend that you go to the store and read the box. It will say what the minimum and recommended specifications for the computer you play it on will be. If your computer meets or exceeds the recommended specifications, you will be able to play it just fine.

And hey, it’s really not cool to ask for help in stealing software. You want to play the game, you buy the game, or you shut up about it.

@cwilbur alright calm down. In the video games industry are we?

No, but I make my living by creating intellectual property that other people pay for. As such, I have little patience for freeloaders.

Why not run the PC version of the game in Windows on the Mac?
