Any Burns fans out there?

“Great Question” (1points)

It’s Robert Burns birthday today and a celebration of his life and poetry.
I was born in Ayrshire and grew up around his haunts.
Tough reading as it’s written in old Scots.

My favortie Burnes poem
slightly altered

MY LURVE’S LIKE A RED RED ROSE

O my Lurve’s like a red, red rose
That’s newly sprung in June!
O my Lurve’s like the melodie
That’s sweetly play’d in tune!

As fair art thou, my bonnie lass,
So deep in lurve am I;
And I will lurve thee still, my dear,
Till a’ the seas gang dry—

Till a’ the seas gang dry, my dear,
And the rocks melt wi’ the sun;
I will lurve thee still, my dear,
While the sands o’ life shall run.

And fare thee weel, my only Lurve!
And fare thee weel awhile!
And I will come again, my Lurve,
Tho’ it were ten thousand mile.
