about a cubic centimeter – maybe a little bigger
I thought a gram was about the weight of 2 paper clips. That’s what they told me in Jr Hi some 35 years ago.
Think about it this way: a gram of water is a cubic cm. Meat is probably about the same density (muscle denser, fat less dense, so it depends on how fatty the meat).
Well if i had a ruler than how long or how thick, any type of example
Sounds like one gram of meat looks about like the texture of the smell of taste.
one cube of beef/chicken.if you had kabobs then imagine one piece.
Here it says that 1 oz of meat has aprox 7 grams of protien. and here is an ounce to gram converter it you want to know the specific weight of the meat.
3 oz. beef (recommended portion) should be about the size of a deck of cards.
One cc water is one gram. You know how big a cc is. If meat is heavier than water a gram of meat will be smaller than a gram (cc) of water.
100 grams = 3.5 ounces, which would be about 1 serving of protein. 112 grams would be the meat in a 1/4 lb. hamburger.
Using information provided by Alfreda, one gram of meat is .0035 ounces. Yes?
So correct me if im wrong but one gram of protein is how many grams of a meat cube
Judi said 1 oz of meat has aprox 7 grams of protein.
Alfreda said 100 grams = 3.5 ounces.
Assuming that is correct…
1 oz meat = 7g protein , then 3.5 oz meat = 24.5g protein
3.5oz of meat = 100g of meat
100g of meat = 24.5g protein
1g of meat = .00245g protein
Or a simpler way is one cube of chicken kabob would b how much protein
Depends on how many grams your cube is..
1.5 by 1.5 inches,1.5 tall and wife
That tells me nothing about how much it weighs.
A shoebox full of feathers and a shoebox full of rocks have the same dimensions and completely different weights.
Thanks allie by the way, your a big help,if u chrck out my restaurant website maybe u might get a better understanding, www.silkroadrestaurant.org
That sounds like about 35–40 grams per cube.
1lb = about 453.6g
.071lb = about 32.3g
Thanks alfreda,my family and i try our best, its all healthy food,organic,ethnic.@allieso the 32.3 g is the amount of protein in that cube?
No, the 32.3g is how many grams of meat are in that cube..
100g of meat = 24.5g protein
32.3g of meat = ?g protein
From above: 1g of meat = .00245g protein
(32.3g of meat)(.00245g of protein) = about .079g protein
There is about .079 grams of protein in your 32.3 grams of meat cube.
Here’s a very good table from Ask the Meatman. Scroll to middle.
x axis = Calories, calories from fat, total fat in grams, cholesterol in mg, sodium, protein, and iron. Y axis = different cuts of beef.
As @kfingerman pointed out, a gram of meat (assuming meat is near the density of water, or slightly less. Does it float?) is one cubic centimeter. Which means the size of the cube would be 1 cm on edge, or about the width of an average (appropriately enough) finger.
I imagine it looks just like meat.
I don’t think we have metric cows anyway.
Erm… I don’t know… I suppose it looks like a gram of meat?
Allie- you have added two extra decimal places. It should be 7.9g. Look at it again. Roughly 25% in both examples.
