Toys! I see that Big Wheels, Sit ‘n’ Spins and Slip ‘n’ Slides are still made, so:
Kebangers!
Two hard plastic balls attached to a string, which in turn was attached to a flat plastic handle. You clacked them together and they made the best sound! They’ve morphed into Klackers and they’re meh now. The fun was in wondering when the balls were going to shatter!
And there was toy called the Lemon Twist, where a rubber loop went round your ankle and there was a rubber extension attached to a plastic lemon with little beads in it that made noise. Moving your ankle would make everything rotate, and you’d skip over the lemon.
Ooh, and Spirograph, but only from the late 70s. The newer ones are lame.
