Uncooked eggs can stay fresh for three months in the fridge. I mean, really, if you don’t eat them….
Eggs are only bad if they smell off. Crack one. If they smell, you’ll know.
Also, if the eggs are too close to the use by date, the grocery won’t take them and the egg people re-process them with a new use by date three months out according to a news program I saw at my grandmother’s. I’ve always gone with the sniff test and have not died or gotten ill.
If you plan on eating them raw, however, go get fresh ones today. If possible from a farmer. The fresher they are, the better when you plan on going raw.
