@peyton_farquhar, I take umbrage at your comment to Grisson. Facebook used to be for college students only, but like the rest of social media, it’s aged in, and with the aging-in process has come some interesting changes.
One of the interesting things about leaving school and joining the workforce is that your friends tend to become multi-aged and not just school age-mates. At 52, I socialize with people between the ages of 24 and 65. Not to say we “hang out” but drinks after work, going to a movie, etc. is not uncommon. I stay connected to my best friend in high school, and a wide variety of high school friends, former coworkers, etc. through Facebook. I’m involved in community events through Facebook.
It’s social media, and a form of mass communication.
