Yes, it is indeed scoliosis. My daughter has a faint touch of it but it isn’t progressing and it isn’t causing her any problems. It is possible that it might when she gets old and decrepit like me but it isn’t bad enough for anyone to try to fix it.
In the bad old days before air conditioning, my best friend in fourth grade was diagnosed with severe scoliosis. Back then the only fix was surgery. She spent an entire hot California summer in a body cast and then had to wear a nasty metal back brace until she got to her adult height.
Nowadays, there are more options for fixing it, especially if doctors get to it early.
Tell the boys to just wait until they are in football and have to be checked for hernias. Then they will yell for sure!
