Do you enjoy watching house flippers fail miserably on shows like Property Ladder?

I can’t help but feel a large amount of schadenfreude when people expect to make 100K in six weeks, and end up losing their shirt.

I watched Flip That House once, and this really annoying lady was on it. She was constantly complaining and she had no idea what she was doing. By the end of the show she still hadn’t sold the house; I couldn’t help but feel kind of happy.

lurve for schadenfreude

I like to watch Flip that House, Flip this House, and Property Ladder. There certainly have been some that have lost a lot or broke even, but there are just as many who have made a nice chunk of change for six weeks to two months of work. Not bad. (probably not in this market) But you have to know what you are doing. The ones who don’t – it does make it a whole lot more interesting.
