they have tons of odd deaths over there. when i was there last, we were walking over the main train tracks of the city i was visiting, and they were telling me how they find hands and feet severed there from time to time. you have to traverse the tracks to go from one side of town to another, people get bashed and they fall asleep on the tracks! and BOOM – they’re an amputee.
worth noting too: russian “pancakes” aren’t what we in the west call “pancakes”. They’re actually “blini” – thin, crepe like things (you can sorta tell in the pic in the original article).
he had to eat an assload of those things to die. of course, if he had them with caviar and sour cream, well that’s more understandable.
in view of this, though, it’s good to see fluther is popular in russia.
