All of the following are contributing factors to how drunk you will be:
What you drink
How fast you drink it
How much of it you drink
The proof
Your age
Your weight
Your gender
How much food you’ve eaten
Whether your drink is carbonated or not
Your body chemistry
The state of your liver
I’m pretty sure I’m missing some, but anywho. This is why two people can drink the exact same things and have different levels of intoxication. Generally though, the faster you drink something, the more drunk you will be. Also think about the fact that if you have a drink very quickly (like a shot or something), you will probably be more likely to buy another one, especially if you can’t feel the effects of whatever you just drank instantaneously.
