I hope that’s not too much to ask. A little back story: “blueface” was a name used to connote new users who still had the default avatar and typically asked very inane questions (like we’ve been doing pretty much!). We had a lot of laughs at their expense. This is a list of the dumbest/craziest/funniest questions those users posted. It took me a long time to find this thread. But it’s hilarious. Enjoy!

@kevbo good call :). They were all linked in one of the first intro threads to Wis.dm-ers. I would recommend anyone that is curious go and find it. There were some real fluther classics in there.

@adreamofautumn Oh yeah! They do that on wis.dm too…..but over time they chilled. What the people had to say was more important than their spelling or writing skills…..like our good buddy roughdays…he tried to come on yesterday, asked one question and got attacked pretty bad…..it was sad. Hey check this, tho…this is one of first Q’s I ever asked on wis.dm…look at it closely! ROFL!!!

@ccatron All wis.dm questions can be commented on, be they Y-N or whatever. Some questions just don’t receive any comments. Especially if they are ridiculous.

@ccatron try this one…..I just picked any old question…you should be able to click on it and see the comments people have made…but maybe not, if you don’t have an account. I don’t know! But really…there is nothing special about the Y/N format. It doesn’t stop a member from commenting, just like here.

My guess is, it will be summarily taken down.

The whole reason it’s being terminated is that they could never get it to be self-supporting. A read-only site would simply cost money to maintain and likely draw even fewer views.

@dalton—It is a nice site but…they made some changes to it about a year ago (the scenes) that kind of…wrecked the community…...and those changes were expensive I think. Just couldn’t sustain it.
